"Initially devised as a deep space salvage vessel for large-scale ore retrieval from destroyed ORE fleets in pirate-occupied areas"
A salvage vessel (that can't fit salvagers), to do large scale ore retrieval (with extremely limited cargo space) from destroyed ORE fleets (most likely ORE mining barges/exhumers, the majority of which can not only out-haul this ship, they can out-tank it as well).
Suggestions: a) Fit specialized salvagers (in the same manner as the Iris Probe Launchers on the Zephyr). b) Increase the cargo capacity 1) Double the size of the Command Center Hold so you can at least carry 2 Elite Command Centers at a time. 2) Increase the Planetary Commodities Hold to 10,000 m3 (the maximum capacity of a Launchpad). c) Reduce the Cargo Bay by 50% (to 50 m3), and add a 50 m3 Drone Bay. At least then you'd have some ability to defend yourself. d) Add bonuses to the Planet Management skills (i.e. +1 ly to your Remote Sensing range, +5% to the resolution of resource data for each level of Planetology, and maybe a 5% reduction in Surveying time per level of Advanced Planetology, or the other way around). e) Rig Slots, which would make this ship much more useful as a hauler/salvager.
An unmodified Badger holds 4,125 m3. This ship, with 4 T2 expanders, has a max capacity of 2,864.3 (about 30% less in total), but of course, 2,600 m3 of that is in specialized cargo, making the lowest level Industrial far more versatile.
While it's nice to have free gifts, this is like the pair of socks you get from your grandmother on your birthday, soon to be stashed in the back of the drawer and rarely ever seen again.
Increasing the functionality of the ship would help ensure it actually gets used for the purpose intended.
(ps) In keeping with the game storyline, the following statement: "And, now that full production of this robust vessel is underway, I can safely announce that our agents will be delivering one Primae ship to each capsuleer in all corners of the universe, free-of-charge, to try out for themselves." would lead me to assume that there must be BPOs/BPCs. The "free-of-charge, to try out for themselves" part would have me believe that these will be available in the future (for a price) should the capsuleers try them and like them and want more of them.
(pss) It also appears that the above statement is incorrect, in that it was 1 ship per account, not per capsuleer. My alts are separate capsuleers from my main(s), in different locations for different purposes, and they would like their new ship as well !
