FFS, why does this allways happen. They shouldn't be saying 2 hours if they can't compleet it in that time!!!
It's allways the same crap, sorry guys 1 hour extra downtime, then 1 hour later.. sorry again this is taking longer then we thought.
GET YOUR TIME RIGHT! so people can do other stuff in the meanwhile, watch a movie or tv or something! instead of hoping eve will be back online at the promised time.. i hate this crap

Unknowingly connected with 3 accounts to start with, windows were vanishing and reloading everywhere, lol.
I actually got in for a whole minute to say hello to a corpmate though.

The autopatcher didn't work, but manually installing the patch did. Are you not able to patch at all (manual or otherwise)?

What I don't understand is when deplying patch takes CCP 4 hours 90% of the time, why they put 2 hours? Why so affraid that you might be able to put servers up before the time you have written, would rather have this way around then what you been doing so far.

Patch is only 746k hardly going to cause major lag.
Give CCP a break - patches are almost always like this. Think I'll be staying docked for 24 hours with this CTD situation though

Ive only been playing for a few days and I have seen a bunch of server uptime issues. I mean, I'm still going to get a pay account as soon as my trial is up, but its still kinda lame :-/

I think CCP has done a great job on the game itself but they are sorely lacking in their planning stages.

Well, I logged in, changed skill training (2 days+) and lost connection 30 seconds later. Somebody up there granted me a few seconds to do something useful!
Interestingly, my custom colour scheme had buggered up when I logged in - the window background colour was a pale grey instead of the dark blue I had it set to. I pressed escape to change it, and it reverted to a lighter shade of blue that I had been using a few days previously. Odd - I thought these settings were stored at the client?

Seriously you're right enough though but it's never going to change now. Patch day = complete day of downtime really. Well it is if you've been around for long enough and know what to expect. On another note, I noticed some differences. There were a couple extra sound effects and the background sound was different when I was in the hanger of a station.

Actually, they learned that the hard way..
Anyway, I logged in, flew around, no problems. Login was a bit slow, probably because everyone else is logging in as well, but I've seen slower.
