I have been to the wiki and several other websites but I have yet to find a site that lists every single encounter-able complex or npc or structure.
I have yet to find any information on where specific items drop. (yes there are static drops)
If anybody knows of such a site then I would deeply appreciate you telling me about it. Something like a wowhead for eve, if thats something you can relate to.
Like I always wondered what that sentient infestor alvum really was.. Where it was found, etc..
Not information available in the site wiki, so I need to look elswere.

There is no such list as the loot drops are very random. A certain faction will drop modules befitting that faction (Amarr faction NPC drop lasers and so on) and the size of modules depend on the ship size that was destroyed.
Certain storyline missions will drop or reward you with a particular rare item and certain complexes (which appear randomly, so you can't farm them, if that's what you are after) drop rare faction items.
The solution is to free yourself of the other MMO mindset and just take the fun as it comes.

Well almost all pages out there are based on this data dump.

there are drop tables. evesurvival is proof of that. They list EXACTLY what drops from specific structures in specific missions. Some loot tables are static and other dynamic but only dynamic within a givven range. I want to find out that range. |

Rat statistics and loot tables are not part of the data dump.

Eve survival uses player input. I.e players list what they get through trial and error. There is no Database dump of the loot tables nor rat statistics, it's all trial and error. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

Of course there are drop tables, but only the devs know what they are exactly. You must realize that Eve-Survival only lists the experiences of a few people who did the missions and bothered to post a writeup about it. It is by no means an exact list of what you can expect to find in a certain mission.
Unlike other MMO's EVE does not allow you to script the user interface, therefore automated statistics gathering on loot drops is not possible. You have to rely on people to actually write down what drops and have them repeat the procedure hundreds of times. It is very boring to gather statistics this way, and so the ones that exists are most likely inacurate or misleading in some way.
I am sorry mate. What you are asking for just doesn't exist.

Edited by: TonyCandthejets on 01/07/2010 21:11:02 example: I want to know which npc has the highest sec status increase reward. This is something that is available through the public db however I have not seen any filtering system that would return with the resulting list of 20 or so of the highest sec status bonuses.
There is also no site that lists the rank chart of pirate factions or the related difficulty level. This is also something available to players yet not well circulated and known.
Or which ranks use which class of ship. etc. |

Did you even read my post? What list? I am asking YOU for this information. http://npc.elfarto.com/index.php
lists all npcs but there is no way to filter their rank or ship type or bounty or any other information. With eve there is a lack of infostructure that may put off potential players because they cant look up what they just killed. So they feel like they have accomplished nothing or have no scale by which to compare their achievement. |

Yes, well we misunderstood eachother. What I asked for was the link you just provided.
In my opinion that website can't be trusted. It uses data which may have been available in a data dump years ago, possibly sc****d from disassembling the client, possibly provided inadvertently by the devs and possibly supplemented by user submitted data.
There is no up to date database dump that contains this information. I have the database dump installed on my mysql server and looking through it, this data isn't available as far as I can see. Note though that the data is heavily normalized, so it might just be that there is a relation somewhere that I am missing. I honestly don't think so though.
You may want to inquire the bright minds in the "EVE Technology Lab" subforum. They might know how this data was produced.

if it can be seen in the "show info" window then it can be data-mined from the game and added to a site database which filters threat levels and ranks. The issue is nobody has gone and done that yet which only reinforced that sterotype that eve players are lazy. |

Edited by: Brin Elan on 01/07/2010 22:33:09 Ive seen the amount of spoonfeeding that the players of other popular mmo's expect and that just dosen't exist here. Get over it and start compiling stats on your own or .. wait for it.. play the game and have fun like the rest of us .. heck you may just find the answers you want on your own.
People in eve for the most part keep their great finds to themselves as long as they can.. be that an item with huge profits, trade route, good agents, etc.

You do know that information in eve-survival is not generated programmatically, but is rather entered by people, right?
I can't tell you how many times I've done missions where eve-survival has been wrong about the triggers, numbers/sizes of spawns and so-forth.
There is no resource like what you're asking. The information isn't available. The best you're going to get is supposition and conjecture from other players, which they then punch into a Wiki or elsewise like eve-survival, eve-info etc.
The data dump doesn't provide info like that.

@op: Hoo Boy. You are wrong on so many levels it's not worth addressing them each specifically, but your attitude is worth a special mention. You come in telling players who have been here since year dot what is and is not available or possible in a game they have spent considerable time, energy and imagination on for years. You accuse eve players of a laziness unsupported by the wealth of tools, guides, corps and alliances that exist or have existed in the past... all player creations.
A simple browse of the appropriate forum here would have given you a wealth of information and links to resources by people who know far more about the things you are making baseless assertions about than you do.
Finally, the eve player base is many things, many of them uncomplimentary. Stupid is not one of them. I don't care how smart you think you are there are people here... MANY people here... who are much, much smarter than you are.
So, stop being lazy, go do some background reading, then come back ask some intelligent questions in the appropriate forum about the 'problem' you were hoping to find a work free solution for.
