As some of you may know, I'm a DJ on Split Infinity Radio (sirado.fm as DJ Cyclometh). I'm going to be adding a segment to my show where we discuss EVE ship fittings with a panel of experts.
The basic idea is this: I need your fits. The ones you're not sure of, the thing you've been toying with, whether its for a T1 frigate or a T3 cruiser. If you're interested, send it to me and we may discuss it on the air- basically you get free fitting advice from a panel of experts and maybe get some insight you might have had to otherwise gain at the smoking mouth of a Neutron Blaster Cannon II.
I won't use your name, we'll just discuss the fitting and why it does (or does not) work for its intended role, what could be done to improve it, and so forth.
Interested? Then read the details here, where I go into depth about how this will work.
If you're a ship fitting expert, I want to hear from you too- I want a wide variety of backgrounds for my panel, so if you think you have what it takes to put together the best fittings for EVE ships, ping me.

Interesting. I assume the fits to be discussed will be distributed to the "experts" prior to the program?

We don't have to hire Noir for something first, do we?

@Liang: Yes. I'll select the fits or maybe send some of the ones I think are worth looking at to the group that's going to discuss them. I think we'll pare down the list to 2 or 3 for the show segment.
If I don't get enough submissions I'll pull a few from killmails or something that are interesting enough to discuss. Once there's some interest, I think we'll get more people wanting to get input.
@Headerman: Of course not.

Well i can think of two right off the bat.
For PVE missioning, what would be better for L4 missions: Long range artillery or shorter range ACs? Should the pilot carry sufficient short and long range faction specific ammo? What about drones?
Another one is the typical 'n00b BS fit' for L4 missions:
"I have just got my new Maelstrom BS and want to start some Level 4 missions. I have 2 million SPs. What should i fit? This is my current setup:"
(will finish when i get home, but expect a n00b setup) :P

Nice idea, jimer. Seeing as Liang typically makes sound arguments, I'd be happy to devil's advocate everything he says.

Really? I just put a friend, with less than 2mil skillpoints into a maelstrom (arty fit, not autocannon). It couldn't solo level 4's when the character was first put in, but now that the character is at 2.5mil skillpoints, and can field 5 t2 light/medium drones, as well as a t2 tank, the ship is more than capable of soloing a level 4 as long as the person reads about the mission first. And yes, we have tested this.
