Okay, so Basically, I'm going In character to fanfest, and after having a nearly 20 minute long argument in the OOC channel ingame about stuff, I figured it would be far quicker and more productive to just ask someone from CCP.
So, the following questions have been raised:
1. Neural Jacks, that is, the plugs used to connect the pod pilots internal implants, to the pod. How do they look? Is it one plug on the back? One plug on the neck? A series of plugs around a large central one on the back? A line of little plugs running down the back? Any way the pilot wants?
2. Pod Clothing, is there any need/reason to wear clothing in the pod? Is going nude the norm? DO capsuleers normally wear some sort of podsuit? Underwear? nothing? Any of the above?
3. Pod Goo, is it actually goo? I've heard multiple things about its consistency, claiming its as thick as syrup or hair gel, and as liquid as water. What is the actual consistency of it? Also, what color? I and I think a lot of other people have always seen it as being slightly blue, but the Inarna trailer has it as amber colored.

EvE Chronicles are you friend.
Here are the two more "specific" stories: The Jovian Wetgrave and The Communication Relay Committee _______________________

1. Think The Matrix. There is one main jack at the base of the skull, with several ancillary jacks running down the spine and possibly a few others at different points of the body. You can see these in some of the Walking in Stations demos.
2. It's all up to the capsuleer. I think I've discussed the matter before, and the reasoning I arrived at was something like this: It depends on how much the pilot wishes to immerse himself. If you let the ship sensors integrate directly with your sense of pressure and touch, it might be best to cut out everything that could potentially cloud the input. Other capsuleers may simply be more comfortable using an advanced flightsuit - possibly with other complimentary functions.
3. The goo in the incarna trailer appears amber because the character's pod has an orange tint. In reality it's probably quite clear. I don't think the precise consistency has been defined in PF, but I think it's generally accepted that it's quite gooey. -----

Would be, if that piece of art had anything to do with EVE. -----

Not too much close up but confirms that it is Matrix like Hug a Carebear, Kill a pirate, squish a Rat, and tickle a dev.

Facts are irrelevant!
Regarding the matrix-like jack at the back of the head, it is visible on corpses if you take a close look.

Edited by: Eko''mo on 11/07/2010 23:47:27 if you check out the walking in station demo and skip to 3.29 you can see clearly 4 sockets, largest starting between the shoulder blades and getting smaller.
Nothing near the neck. However i agree its a case by case basis, e.g ocular implants removal of unecessary limbs etc. (check out the art for 'Xenocracy' chronical)

Don't take the Xenocracy capsuleer as an indicator for how capsuleers look in general. What the administrator saw during their meeting was a holographic picture that the pilot had assembled - likely for the express purpose of intimidation. -----

Originally by: Her Painted Selves She looked to her side and pretended to wave, sneaking a glance at the capsuleer who'd hid in their entourage. He stood off-camera, looking like one of many assistants. His cranial socket was covered with a skin patch which in turn was concealed under a tight hood. He'd showed them the setup when he first came into the deal, explaining that while some people would undoubtedly guess his identity, it shouldn't be publicly acknowledged by anyone on the team. The capsuleer had offered an unknown addition to the funds the Federation had earmarked for Gerets' operation, enough to secure him a watcher's position in the press circus that surrounded the couple. He wasn't shy about his support, though its scope was unrevealed, but this effort wasn't supposed to be about him.
This is the description of a capsuler in the chronical Her Painted Selves Basically it gives the impression that capsulers could look like anyone and have ways to even hide the sockets they have. I have the feeling that capsulers will be able to look normal if they choose to.
