Mission Reward SP is only available on whichever character is currently training. An alt can't train the normal way while you "grind" mission SP.
Mission Reward SP can only be earned once every few days, from special agents and only once the player is at a "10" standing with the agent's corp, and has done X number of missions for that corp Y amount of time. (IE, you can't hit 10 with a corp, stop running missions for them for a month, and still get these mission offers.)
This is similar in spirit to the agents who offer an implant as a reward. The system insures that new players cannot rush to catch up, while giving everyone something new to work towards.
Most mission reward SP should only apply to skills in a certain category, much like implants. For instance, you could get mission reward SP that applies only to Engineering or Navigation.
This system would be markedly unfair to people who do not run missions a lot: if the system is acceptable, but unfairness is not, perhaps items could drop from rare, named 'rats, or be refined rarely from ore that could count toward mission reward SP, much like the dog-tags count in the LP store.
##
These special agents should not <always> offer mission reward SP - but should just as often offer high-meta modules.
Ideally, these missions would dangerous, and require a few friends to complete. Those friends cannot share mission reward SP, and cannot get a reward module unless the player who turns it in gives or trades it to them. Of course, in a few days, those friends will be running a similar mission, and will need help... :)

I feel this idea offers more of a reward for people who play the game a lot, without punishing people who don't.

This idea is terrible thought through. If you want SP from missions or drops, then go play LOTRO. They have all you want. They give extra xp for finishing missions (quests there) and they even have items that gives extra xp.
There is no need for those here in eve, the skillpoint system is real time based and should stay that way. It never should get a grinding to get SP. And LP/Isk is enough reward for running missions. ---------------------------------- None of yet! |

i didn't read all of it.
Adding grinded SP to mission would punish the people that do not mission. i'd defo start spending ALL my isk on getting a proper mission boat up and running and leave my corp, since they are of no use to me when i solo missions all day long
Fake Edit: I just realised that you wanted this to happen only once every couple of days.. so i might stay in the corp after all.. you are STILL punishing people who live in deep nullsec with no agents nearby of any sorts The Mac has arrived |

I'm not sure I see why this is horrible, but why mission reward implants are not.

it's a different matter.. Implants can be bought for ingame isk, and thus making them obtaineable by any player regardless of his profession.. giving SP to mission runners give them a clear advantage, i dont get SP for popping sleepers for example so if i wish to live in wormspace i CAN'T get this advantage - i can still come to K-space and BUY implants wich i can afford after selling whatever i made in the wh The Mac has arrived |

My post included alternate ways for this item to be obtained.
Why wouldn't you be able to sell it instead of use it, by the way? You can sell every other item.
I think there should be an SP market.

Is one....character sale section. Catch is you buy sp in skills you may not want. Some guy has a cap alt he doesn't want anymore...you want a carrier pilot, 225-250 mil pere 1 mil sp can make it win win for all.

Thats not exactly true, it is will be "sp module" then null sec peples can buy him easyly, because living in null sec is most profitable.
And if mission will appear only after completeing cerain number of missions (read another storyline mission) but with low chance to apper, I have no problem with it.
And having it limited by standing to 10 is bad, IMO, because it completly remove from new players. ------------------------------------------------

We're talking about an item that would be as desirable as PLEX. Standing 10 is a playground for older players, just like tech 3 items. The rewards for having standing 10 should reflect the effort involved. These rewards shouldn't be easy for a week-old character to get.

Every 16 completed, you get a special mission, That can give you an implant. That reduces training time. There. Already done.

i stopped reading at "Mission Reward SP" so what you basically want is the carebears in empire to be able to get more sp for the limited set of skills they will ever need while the people in 0.0 get none because they don't have agents or do missions. The only people that being able to get bonus sp for would be new players but even then this option is not available to them because of "only once the player is at a "10" standing with the agent's corp"

Are you sure that say 10k SP will make it very wanted ? For standinmg 10 - much more SP, ISK/h, and build up standing isnt enough bonuses for vet players for you ? And which is bad, that week-old player can have this bonus TOO ? Of course, anoumt of bonus will be similiat to lvl of "storyline" mission. (same as reward). ------------------------------------------------

Why do people that play a lot want more rewards? Thy already get to play a lot and do lots of missions, have more ISK etc. Is that not enough?
It's a bad idea. Sure, missiones are rewarded, and some complex runners may be rewarded. What about miners? traders? freighter pilots? low sec pirates? corp managers? ninja salvagers (hey, CCP has not something about them, so I guess it's a profession)? researchers? manufacturers? T2 manufacturers?
Way to leave them out.
There is no need for that. Part of the interesting part in EVE is that training time is fixed. It's both good and bad, but it's both good and bad for everyone. Changing it in the way you propose, is just good for a some people, and the same crap for the rest.
