wtf at your ammo amounts? 3k rounds of ammo and only 50 paste??? bring AT LEAST 150 paste. you will be overheating constantly.
Quote: Microwarpdrive. Does not matter what sort, I use tech I because you wont be perma running it anyway and there is no extra speed boost in using tech II. The 10 seconds it runs longer under a tech II version will never save you anyway.
never fit anything but a y-t8. cap is always a problem
your vaga fit is terrible. no neut means any frig will kill you. the cloak will save you in tricky camps, but with frigs being among your best targets when fighting blobs not having a neut is suicide.
you used 4x stacked dps mods. if you dont like TEs use ambit rigs. range is dps in the vaga.

lol @ the people criticizing my post.. reading just a little too hard for ya?
You don't know what you are talking about.

Or maybe you haven't found a Vaga that really wants to kill you, as a single middle slot module swap can leave it with almost as much ehp as you have, 2x-3x the DPS with dmg selectivity to beat your tank, and partially immunity to your Neuts...and still it's THAT faster, you solo curse would die as soon as he got close enough to beat your TDs...if you had any...
So don't get to confident...
And then people say the Curse doesn't need buffed. The Vaga didn't need buffed either, but look at it now. The best counter for a Vaga... is a Vaga

[Vagabond, Vagaaaaa]
5x 425mm AutoCannon II (Barrage M) Improved Cloaking Device II
Y-T8 Overcharged Hydrocarbon I Microwarpdrive 2x Large Shield Extender II Warp Disruptor II
3x Gyrostabilizer II Tracking Enhancer II Nanofiber Internal Structure II
Medium Ancillary Current Router I Medium Anti-Kinetic Screen Reinforcer I
5x Warrior II
Voila. 26k EHP and 412 DPS with my skills (which aren't maxed out ). It may not be the "best", but it's very possible to fit 425mms on it. Dropping the tracking enhancer for a power diagnostic allows you to fit a projectile rig if you so choose.
Edit: With this configuration a medium neut will not fit. It would take two pg rigs for that to work...but that's up to you.
LMAO 425mms... Have you ever flown vaga?

Edited by: Riaqu on 19/07/2010 16:33:06 I consider myself a beginner, and think it's great that people like the OP dedicate time to give advice like this.
I can't really comment on the merits of the arguments in this thread (not experienced enough), but some people really have a hard time not being complete w*nkers in their responses. It's alright to disagree while still being respectful, you know...
Anyway, thanks Wotlankor, I really appreciate the work you put into this!

vaga for beginners is this:
fly a stabber in the 'heavy tackler' role.
if you get in some good pvp where your actually out hunting for kills, always volunteer to be the guy that goes in first to get the point. otherwise... just hit up some FW if you don't have any cool pvp people in your current corp/alliance
you will get to learn how to fly in falloff a bit, learn how to survive (when to have the mwd on/off), learn what pooping your pants is when your cap starts to disappear. it is the best thing to give you a general feel for the ship
also, +1 to the man that suggested flying hurricane instead of jumping into the vaga. fit it fast and vulnerable (shield buffer, damage and speed mods). no it isn't even close to the same thing but is effective and cheap. same as stabber.
start small, when you are good, then move up. at the price of vagas you should know how to fly them before you decide to use them
--- Players are losing faith and loyalty in CCP due previous expansions not living up to player expectations. The CSM and CCP agreed that expectation management can be improved |
