Hey,
I've noticed that I'm now at -4.97 standings with Amarr.
Is the best way of getting my standings a bit better, buy travelling to Amarr and accepting missions there?
Thanks. |

Basically you want to do storyline missions for Amarr, or good friends of Amarr.
There are even Amarr corporations with stations NOT located in Amarr space (Imperial Armaments, Joint Harvesting, and Nutura come to mind). |

Newer version of that plan: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Faction_Standing_Repair_Plan
Start with training diplomacy if you have not done that yet - instant boost for negative standings. New to EVE? Don't forget to read: The Manual * The Wiki * The Career Options * and everything else |

With Diplomacy 4 or 5? Holy crap, dude, what have you been doing?
If not, grab diplomacy 4 or 5 and re-run the sisters of Eve epic arc, handing Dagan to the Amarr dudes. Maybe run a few storyline missions for Amarr if you're not terribly worried about your other faction standings. |

Hi,
If I remember correctly, and I've been known not to, then that faction repair plan can only be used once for each Race.
Personally I would save it until you 'really really' need it.
I beleive the SOE (Sisters Of EvE) mission will improve your standings across the board and once you get them high enough, just go and run some missions for the Ammarians.
ONE KEY THING TO NOTE WHEN RUNNING MISSIONS:
If you are concerned about your standings, and you SHOULD be unless you plan on running pure FW, then do NOT accept missions from any faction which attack another faction.
Just accept the Pirate ones. This could at times mean you are in a position where you might get two in a row you can not do. At this point you need to decide if you want to take an 'Agent Standing' hit by refusing two missions in a row (you can refuse one mission every four hours without taking a hit) OR do something else for 4hrs (assuming CCP have not changed this mechanic).
I did not read the entire thread, but I'm guessing that you have run either FW against Amarr or you have run a lot of Minnie missions against them.

Also note, in case you missed it, with your faction standing as low as it is, you're probably going to get shot at by the Amarr Navy. You will definitely need to do missions for Amarr affiliated corps in non-Amarr space and hope some of them have Storylines in that area. The Agent Finder tool under Accessories/Business (or some such) should help you identify those agents. You may even have a challenging time doing the SOE Arc as some of it takes place in Amarr space. Diplomacy can help, just look at your standing once you train it up as much as possible. |

It seems I'm safe to fly to Amarr atm (was there last night). I just don't want to go below -5 as thats when I will be shot. |

You have done more than just grind Minmatar missions. To get that low you have been killing Amarr Navy ships, probably as the result of accepting a Minmatar mission that pits you against them. These are the missions that you need to avoid. Never accept a mission that has you killing Empire navy ships, you will always be told who you are going up against. Decline those missions in future. |

Do the tutorial missions for each race still raise your faction standings? I did one the other day and received no gains but I am guessing you need to do the string of 10 or so to get the boost? Thanks for info. |

Yes they do, but they work like multi-part storylines, i.e. only last mission in serie will increase faction standing.
Also they can only be done once per agent, so train your "Social" skill up first to get maximum boost.

I wasn't aware that you were able to do the starting missions for other races. Is there a list of starter systems for each race? |

I wasn't aware that you were able to do the starting missions for other races. Is there a list of starter systems for each race? All career agents: http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Career_Agents
And yes you can visit them all if you want.
ps. Career Agent systems are not starting systems, since you start few jumps from them and then AURA gives you mission to travel to nearest Career Agent system. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Rookie_Systems lists both Career Agent systems and Starter systems New to EVE?
