What are marauders if not ships that makes other BS class ships obsolete? (At least for missionrunners). More flavour would be nice. I'm looking at byuing a new bs ship but can't find any interesting ones, tried the few I like and bored of them.
If new ships are added, more skilltraining would make them "wanted" and also wouldn't make old BS hulls obsolete over night.
Not enough flavor, the modules are the same, the only thing that change is if the ship is amor/shieldtanked and size of guns.
Do any BSs have for example a webbing bonus? To range and/or effectiveness? Would maybe make it interesting in PVP too, now the tackler will have to get real close, real fast, to not get 1-shotted.

Really the only problem I have with the ships is the constant rehash of the hulls. Would be nice to see a different hull for the marauder and black ops other than a color change. At the very least I wish they would make one of the command ships the second BC hull Harbinger, Drake ECT......

Avatar was written nearly a year before Pocahontas was animated. They're both very similar to "Dances with wolves" Which is of course very similar to the Pocahontas myth. Please research bit more before posting corrections of others...

Originally by: Gladys Pank I dont care about flying on planets, or walking in stations. I guess it is inevitable that this will happen soon then later, however, dont deviate from the roots. In the end, EVE is still a spaceship game. I agree that stuffs a load of crap.
How many times do people have to repeat that the grand scope of CCP is to have EVE being an entire scifi universe where people can walk on planets, fly in ships, dock at stations, shoot at space stations, shoot at planet based stuff etc. etc.?
Come on Pank, you should know that by now. The big plus is that all that stuff you don't want is optional. Another plus is that the EVE universe will expand.
The biggest downside though is that we'll have to wait 18 month's at least for polish/ non crappy expa... patches, like pi.
I know fine well what their grand scheme is, it doesn't change my opinion that all that stuff is a load of crap and worthless.
Dont be a hater. You know you are gonna luv it. It definately cant hurt anything to have it added. Ye old arguement that those resources could be used to "fix other problems" is total horse ****.
The problems/issues like game balance and current content concerns dont need a staff the size of the incarna development team(if it even exists).
The problems/issues with lag are unfixable regardless of how many people/funds you throw at it. Why? Because if they make 1000 man fleet fights lag free 0.0 fights will go to 2000 and on and so forth.
Quantity also will bring in more people and CCP knows this. All of you addicts just like to ***** so they arent concerned about the 5 threads a month that say eve is dying.

That has to be the most unbelievably stupid thing I've ever heard. BC 5 is probably one of the most useful skills you'll ever train.

Yes, no offense to you {and the Academy who will probably vote it Best Movie), but Avatar, while visually stunning, had a script most EVE players could have written in an afternoon...
I mean, it was pretty much a direct homage lift of the Pocahontas story. Which is a story of time-immemorial. Sub sole nihil novi est I suppose though, so it's good to bring that to a new generation in a ground-breaking digital medium. --CCP Manifest-- |

Actually the story of Avatar has been told countless times before, which is expected tbh considering it's no brainer. Only part of that movie worth watching was CGI.

Well it is in its current form but as stated before it's CCP's intention to make it a Sci-Fi sim.
If I think Sci-Fi I think Star Wars/Trek, Dune, Galactica, Firefly. Personally I don't think it's more spaceships is what's missing in EVE, I think planetary life, aliens and actual people that are missing to make EVE an all-round Sci-Fi sim. Villages and cities like in Star Wars would be great, I'd also love it you can have an actual character and that corps can design their own uniforms for example.
There's more to life in space than just spaceships imo.

Yes, because Caldari drones are just so amazing at everything.
New ships: Sure. When you can come up with a balanced, logical role for them. Otherwise you'll end up with two ships with identical properties and different hulls, which is a waste of disk space. Corvettes are something that came to my mind, but I suspect a lot of the faster frigates would already fill this role.

Well there's some funny or useful roles one can come up with:
- Transport ships that can transport rigged ships (always a chore to transport your miner/missions ship/salvager 1 by 1 to a new mission place); - Cruiser hulls that can fit and have a bonus to large turrets (like the Ashimmu would be if it had bonus to ALL lasers, not just mediums); - Battlecruiser/battleship hulls with bonusses to small turrets (anti-SB/Frig ships); - Dedicated 10 Drone ships without hardpoints;
to name a few ..

Yeah, it tanks like a dread. And it has heavy drones, 7 of them. And it belches fire when I shoot missiles. And if anybody tries to kill me I have this button that kills all sub-bs class ships on the grid. Also, I want it in that kick-ass black caldari color scheme.
I would sell my soul to CCP for such a ship.

There hasn't been an original thought in hollywood since at least the 80's. They know what has worked in the past, and what makes people say a movie is good, so they just keep recycling those things with new talking heads and locations.
My deepest sympathies. Prof. Tarantula, Esq. |
