my own corp have far higher recruitment standards than anything in Hydra
but why don't you lose multiple machariels in one day crying about it?
look, at the end of the day, its just a name - we'll have a new name shortly, we'll take back the stations, and we will back back to the New Provi status quo hyrda claim they wanted to break
i think it is a dreadful way for UK to go tbh, i mean they were warriors and had my respect for a time.
12 station systems wil be a grind lol pretty much like it was at the beginning of the provi invasion BUT maybe some gf's will come of it.

The funny thing is, there is no serious co-ordination between HYDRA and CVA. We aren't taking this seriously at all and mostly doing this to shake up the Providence NAPfest a bit, We at no point expect to hold ground against The Initiative, Circle of Two, Agony, AAA, Daisho, Ushra'Khan, and everyone who feels like giving a blowjob to AAA to get moved away from the top of the reset list. If anything Providence will be amazing place for PvP for a few weeks. With Razor and PL in the area, the potential for things to escalate and for weaknesses to be exploited is high, I think we can all agree this is an exciting change in eve.
Thanks to Tarac for giving eve this exciting opportunity. Lots of Accounts have been resubbed both sides. ---

its fairly obvious that this was a co-ordinated attempt with cva to do real damage to New Provi... the irony is it's just galvinized participation across the providence alliances, and saved UK from internal cascade (my own corp was on the brink of leaving... not anymore, there is fun to be had)
for that i suppose I should be thanking you, but really, I need to thank Tarac - you guys didn't actually do anything, the credit is entirely his
So what your saying is that now that you are free of the shackles of space holding you are free to do what you enjoy, at the end of the day you didn't want that alliance/sov/stations anyway?
Glad we got that ironed out.

Edited by: Butter Dog on 24/07/2010 23:43:38 Trolling aside, if you wanted ~good fights~ you can just SBU systems, or, alternatively, help CVA defend the 7-odd systems we SBU'd oursleves only a few days ago. There was plenty of action to be had. I find your post somewhat lacking in logic and honesty.
Granted, we're going to have to SBU a few more systems (not that many, we can start with a few key stations and do the rest at our leisure), but I really don't see that this makes a great deal of difference to anything - apart from changing our alliance name. It gives us a bit more admin and puts some UK out the fight for a day or so whilst they relocate to a new staging system.
So what this really comes down to is we need to choose a new alliance name. Okay. Apart from that what differnce has this made?

There is a huge difference between you killing a few SBUs when you feel like it, and having to grind through several stations, timers, POS, Ihubs, TCUs and having several alliances outside alliances involved which otherwise wouldn't (AAA, The Initiative). All without having jump bridges, and cyno jammers.
There are more opportunities for fights, less protection for the defenders, harder logistics, and capitals aren't able to be deployed risk free.
We have tried anchoring SBUs in other regions in the past, and it has not worked out for us, the defenders just kill them at their own leisure unless your willing to grind through 100 million station EHP, and even then they may not even fight you, and batphone in unengageable odds when the system comes out of reinforced, on top of that you are out of 500million, which isn't a lot, but certainly is a bit much for a smaller alliance wanting a fight which they might not even get.
Trust me, this is a lot better for ~goodfights~. ---

It is clear to me that Hydra wanted the Khan ready and waiting for a fight. A representative for Hydra dropped a not-so-subtle hint that they were interested in moving on Providence in a redacted news article over a week ago.
At the very least, Eve just got interesting again, and has saved some folks the trouble over deciding whether or not to cancel some or all of their accounts. CCP! Wake up the hamsters and reinforce the Provi nodes!
I'll toss my suggestion in for the new Alliance name - Ushra'Khan II: The Wrath of the Khan.

It has worked pretty well for us tbh (SBUs), but I gotta say this is a whole knew level of initiative for getting fights and I, for one, am impressed. :D
P.S. And this is me, a documented sometime :lolrp: sympathizer and ccp alliance mechanics hater. Blowing an entire region wide da**** open for pvp in a new and ingenious way is pretty awesome. I'm thinking that along with open recruitment you guys are going to open the stations for docking fees and so on right? I hope so because if I'm following this correctly it will be awesome.

What amazes me completely, is that Butter seems to have finally lost it.
He doesn't realise, that HYDRA is accepting any application for a reason. The reason being comedy.
There's a couple of people in this game that still take this game for real and are really serious after about 7 years. Guys, do a reality check.
Awesome job HYDRA. I'd definitely apply, if only I wouldn't somehow be stuck with the ***s I know since my Eve-Birth.
Give 'em hell.
And Windy and Butter: Get a life and stop caring. I am not including Jade in that statement because all hope is lost there.
