Thank you for this very good recipe.
It`s a little bit difficulter to prepare, at least u had to have some experience in cooking.
Cooking level: 5 Advanced cooking level: 1
Specially the brioche could be tricky.
Funny , because the brioche is a part of my this year x-mas menue i offer my guest as a starter.
Filled with goose-liver-patF, and seperate some cranberries
The owner of the "fragments", thinks about making a little cooking book for his guest`s , so lets see, when it will be released.

Time for a new subject.
Since the sanshas start incursions into the empire, concord thought about sharing some of his technology.
They starts working with serveral scientiest to build a cruiser sized ship.
This is one of there results.
Illumin
But they still look for more, include which kind of bonuses they should bring.
It s up to u. Finding a little story around it could bring an extra reward.
The best ship will win 3x 30 days Gametime.
The best story will win 1x 30 day game time.
I will add probally more rewards, up to the interest.
Bring in an own design. Confirm that it s yours.

I always keep an eye on your contests as they are quite different from others. Just never entered them really but i'll enter you latest one. I can simply use my design already submitted to both "design your starship" contest since it's exactly along the lines of your contest actually. The story is in the design so you can see the reason behind it. Ofcourse Concord has had a hand in this design supplying materials, design ideas and some Jovian technology, but they'd be foolish to say that in public. It could result in a personal war by Sansha Kuvakei against Concord, which is something Concord cannot use since they have their forces spread too thin trying to regulate the capsuleer population. Hence the Empires take sole responsibility.
My Design: Battlecruiser design
It is actually a battlecruiser but very close to cruiser dimensions to reduce signature size even further. I hope that's ok. ___________

Hey Mac,
Thanks for letting me win...I would lie if i said i didn't need them as my account ran out a couple days before so the plexes came in very good use. It's just a shame there where no other contesters for the prizes so it doesn't really feel like winning. It's still great to receive the plexes since i probably wouldn't have won them if some of the other more talented people submitted their works. Anyways, good luck with future competitions and i'll be keeping an eye out for them to see if there's one that is in my alley. Keep up the good work! ___________

Edited by: Macmuelli on 16/06/2011 15:03:27 Ahoi,
time to start it again.
Aurora Borealis
The summary of the idea is, founding a way to introduce the oorth cloud, include seeding new ship types whith new roles.
With every upcoming contest i will give 3 prices.
1.st : 1 bn isk 2.nd : 500 mio isk 3.rd : 250 mio isk
The first part, is now sketching/drawing a shiptype include founding a new role /bonus to harvest the "Aurora borealis "
Aurora borealis particles could be the fuel for satelites( satelites are placed like a chain between 2 acceleration gates, and are connected to each other), which would open a high speed tunnel between thoose gates, to make a travel to the oorth cloud faster.
Distance is between 10k-100 k au
The aurora borealis is a shorttime phenomea, so this partciles are difficult to harvest. Also its side effects are damage to all computersystems.
keep this in mind , when founding a role for the ship.
I hope for some entries.
Greetings

Edited by: Macmuelli on 25/06/2011 18:44:35 Aurora Borelis are temporary limted phenomeas.
The sun activity, which blows out particles and make the aurora Borealis happend, could be announced within fictional "Empire news".
The concord billbords on every gate would be more informativ then.
When it happend, there could be some kind of bombs which stabelize the Particle within a Field ( limted in size),for a limited time. Then u could harvest them.
The ship itselfs could have 2 kind of tanks. One where thooses stabelized particles are stored, and the second which stabelize it permanent, as long u have enough material stored in it.
The aurora Borealis particels should be used, to reload(refresh batteries, which are used for accelerator gates/Sattelites.
Every jump/ connection needs Energie.
It should be only possible via special modul on Poses.
Probally something like this: Pos modul

Edited by: Kistor on 27/06/2011 15:24:19 Hi Macmuelli, heres my Idea for a new ship:
The Gauss-protoype is based on the Orca-Class. Designed to be robust an multifunctional this is the perfect base for a new ship type which had to withstand the abnormal conditions inside an Oorth Cloud.
It's major function is the collection of "Aurora Borealis"-particles, who can be used to power sattelites or acceleration gates.
The four large magnetic sails work like the magnetic field of a planet. They attract the loaded paticles sent out by the sun, leading them into the magnetic-shielded particle-tanks of the Gauss. A positive side-effect is the reduction of the damage that is dealt to the ships' computer systems by the electrons and protons.
However, theres still a significant damage dealt to the conductors and microprocessors of the ship. To solve this problem, ORE's engineers developed a Nanobot-Maintenance-Array, which constantly scanns the ship for damage and instantly repairs it. This feature needs a constant supply of nanobots to replace the destroyed ones. Therefore, a big nanobot-storage now replaces what once has been the corp hangar and most of the former standard cargohold.
Role-Bonus: 99% reduction in the CPU need of nanobot maintenance modules 99% reduction in the CPU need of magnetic sail modules Can use 4 magnetic sail modules simultaniously
Industrial Command Ship Bonus: 5% bonus to magnetic-shielded particle bay capacity per level 5% harvesting bonus to magnetic sail modules per level 5% bonus to nanobot cargohold capacity per level
Additional Information: 4 High Slots for the four "MAGNETIC SAIL"-modules 400k m3 magnetic-shielded particle bay(cargohold for particles) 5k m3 standard cargohold 65k m3 nanobot cargohold
Dear Users, please ignore my poor skills in graphics-editing. Just used GIMP and Paint.net :-D

Hi Kistor,
Thank u for joining this contest with your great Idea, include the improved Orca.
It makes sense having a ship with large sails. It would also open they way for many improvements and better version of such sails.
Imagine u had to set up serveral Bookmarks to set a course, which your orca had to fly. With such a system u could setup a dangerous course, with high usage of nanoboots, and a easier course . The result could be higher ammounts of particles etc..
As i have said in the topic, "New resources".
The oorth cloud itself, should bring material, which let us improve t II moduls to a level, which is close to officer stuff. No balance is needed , because it s done. At least the way to d it should be even more difficulter and adapted to the prices.
if thw whole contest is done, there will be a summary, probally with the help, of a much better skilled english speaking/writing player, which bring the whole idea include the winner desgins to the features /ideas forum.
It s fun
greetings

Thats a nice idea. The first thing i thought off was a kind of scanner(kinda like the survey scanner for asteroids) or a special type of scanprobes, maybe both. First you have to scan down a good position in the sun-near area. There you can find some particle clouds. They should be moving away from the sun. Next step is to analyze the density of those clouds, by which you set your couse. More dense particle clouds will deal a higher amount of damage to your systems(like you proposed) and by this let you survive a shorter time.
This particles could also be used for some new items. I think of a new electronic warfare module that sends out a stream of those particles(the electomagnetic field which is generated by the particles induces a voltage into the enemy ships circuits). this effect could maybe disrupt the function of a module(longer cycle time, random module jammed for some seconds).Other use would be a particle ammunition, like a stronger type of em-ammo. Just some brainstorming: Wouldn't Electronic-Warfare-Ammo be funny?^^

Such ammo could "overheat" enemie ship systems.
Probally a way for t III frigs into the game, whith a bonus on it. And probally a way to introduce sub system targeting.

To make this feature accessable for small corps, it would be nice to introduce some smaller harvesting ships, too. I think of an industrial sized ship class(like Indu->Freighter; indu size havester->cap size harvester), which has lower skill requirements.
Also, if there's particle-ammo it should not do any regular damage. Think this would disrupt balancing way too much.
