haha thats brilliant
it certainly does take a special kind of incompetence to go from 1400 people being playable in 49- over a year ago... to the current sorry state of affairs ----------

I dont know why CCP puts incarna on such high priority when a small group or carebears EMORAGEQUIT becuase they couldnt walk in stations but when thousands complain about the lag its priority number 42. Come CCP get in the game "Drake... A drooling monkey could pilot it." -MoeJoe Green

With all the money this game is generating there is no reason why they can't fix this problem. They keep doing more and more add-ins yet they are not fixing the current existing problems that are plauging the game.
Just use the money we pay you CCP and fix the damn game. It's not hard you just need to put some effort into it. I hope this article shames you all into doing something.

Hell even the great battle of 49- in delve was horrible lag but you could work with it.
Now when you get a epic titan bait or capital bait you dont even know if you really killed the ship or not.
I really hope this gets fixed now, Roll back tbh

I disagree about the first link. Things were already ****ed up at that time.
Best times were when CCP had developed their "Python StackLess V.2" thing, during max V1. (2 years ago ?). I remember a great fight in E-0 or M-0 (Tribute) with 1200 peeps in local, with minimum lag.

your almost right ... they have all the devs working on those things instead of working on the game itself ...

O for sure its never been perfect, but after experiencing the problems when we was ****ing about with TRI in the north 6months ago I would pay for that lag again, and atleast when you popped a cap you could be 95% sure it was dead and would not reappear the next day.
*Edit* and yes the 1st link is indeed from jan but it was just before things started going down the pan, it was when it kicked off in the north that things started to go from odd to horrific, tho I could quite easily be wrong its just from my experience.

Sad that it takes something like this to get CCP to change their priorities to what they should be. Something like this never should have HAD to happen.
Then again, such a badly developed expansion with huge "showstopper" level flaws never should have seen the live server in the first place.
Whomever thought that it was an acceptable plan to expect people to "wait 18 months" for them to revisit flawed EXISTING game features should be fired or at least reassigned to the MMO software development equivalent of fueling POS towers.

I would not get your hopes up people,if it didnt make it to the us news, and even if it did.ccp will brush it under the rug,say they have a fix in the works.it will take 6 months to a year to incorporate.then the game will be more fubared then it is now.The sad thing is the csms are ccps tools and dont help the players at all

I agree, and mostly CCP is looking for a quick buck to score, releasing new flashy "children playtoys" brings children along to subscribe for at least a month! That's 15 bucks, right there.
I hope they will change, but like everyone else is saying, I doubt they will. They don't understand having a solid platform to build new stuff off of is always good, instead of that platform being created with bugs and lag. --------------------------------

I'm assuming you mean this?
Originally by: CVG However, a CCP spokesperson told CVG this afternoon:
'CCP has invested significant time and resources throughout EVE's history on increasing the performance of fleet fights. We've always had a team of developers devoted to improving our technology and in recent years we made exponential headway through massive server upgrades and initiatives like "Stackless IO".
'Currently, unsurprisingly, this effort is our No.1 development priority and we have given the specialised team carte blanche in re-attaining 1,000+ player fleet battles that EVE is famous for.
'With the help of the EVE community on the test server, we believe we are close to some investigative breakthroughs and will continue to relay any progress via our developer blogs.'
Nice Damage Controll II there, CCP.

Thanks for the article but it is a copy from this http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=257716 which also includes the CCP response. Consider changing it to the above link?
Also LOL ccp's response. They just posted where their development teams are being focused and then try to claim fixing lag is the number one priority. Seriously CCP just stop with the bull**** and focus on 1) Fixing the game 2) Completing unfinished features and 3) Re-evaluating all aspects of the current game. These should ALWAYS be an important priority for you.
