Inspired by "V for Vendetta" I guess. But a good initiative in my opinion, if young people are mature enough to realize what its about.

I always enjoy these sort of things, including back in the day when people used to hijack tv stations once in awhile.
This one was a bit too heavy manifestoish for me though. He could be a little more concise.
Oh, and I almost forgot. I just made you read my signature. |

Wrong reference
Though GITS is a very interesting series too, I'm sure there's some parallels. Very psychological and introspective, very futuristic and political in a way.

hope springs eternal.
(the other fellow was right though, the laughing man with the obscured face is a ghost in the shell reference, not a V for vendetta reference.)

BTW there are two films and 2 series (aka "Stand alone complex". The films are very arty, the series has a little more action but is still beautifully done. The laughing man is from the series.

There is also a third Ghost In The Shell film: Ghost In The Shell Solid State Soceity. I overlooked it myself for a couple of years until I got it a couple of months ago. It is set after the two GITS series where Motoko Kusanagi has left Section 9.

Forgot about that. Solid state society is more of an OVA (Anime nerd term for a featurelength episode) than a film but it is still a must-see after watching Stand Alone Complex, and SAC: Second Gig.
The brain hack part of the second film where it starts repeating itself made me think I had a broken DVD until I worked out what was going on...
I'm gonna have to watch it all again now.

Whats up with that heavy anarchist propaganda? As nice as it may sound on the surface it is simply too impractical to work properly, like communism. Good in theory, bad in practice.
In any case, isn't this kinda a political thread, so shouldn't it be locked? I do realize though that it is kinda skirting along the boundary of being politically charged. O well. ~ CURRENT INTERNETS = + 126016 |

What a good thread tangent: The anarchy and chaos those will use to maintain their own dogmatic status quo and sense of 'order'.
