Ok so there is massive fuss, and frankly it is warranted. CCP one of your guys must have unstacked the IO.
So all these various groups and teams you have, MEAN nothing to the players unless you sort the simple LAG issues. DUST 514 I will say is cool, so is the walking around in stations (I would love to walk up to someone and take a glove off and slap them into a dual).
Some of the questions that I ponder is why can not CCP review log data from large engagements on the TQ and see why this lag is happening. Maybe the testing on SISI which I assume might be on a different set of equipment, won't show you the bug.
So here I propose this, lets get a large number of players to commit to on TQ meet up in a system, we will all form fleets, and duke it out. CCP then you can log data in the real game environment. (Maybe CCP will be kind enough to replace the ships all bring to the fight)
JOIN CHANNEL : REDVSBLUECCP And as we get people joining, a systems settled on for a fight, and what we will be bringing then CCP can come and log that.
Thoughts? Rants? Banter?

Do you really need people to explain to you why this isn't going to happen?

Short answer: the logs show nothing
Long answer: debugging usually incurs a large overhead. It often involves running non-optimized code for clarity and sometimes running in a simulator. I'll leave it to you why running this on TQ would be a bad idea.

Hi!
Just curious. If i brought 1000 emo-raging parrots into your home and they all started screaming "we live here now, we live here now!"
Would you respond to each and everyone of them? Would you respond to them all? You might do both.
I personally wouldnt say a thing and determine through extensive research i.e. Alfred Hitch****s "the birds" how to solve my bird problem.
Then id say something right before i implemented my idea.
So no. CCP isnt obligated to tell you **** especially considering this is the same damn wave on the other end of the pond. Polly want a cracker?

Makes it look like RVB itself has its hand in this and we do not.
Somehow though it would be misinterpreted as such by CCP and rvb would all get banned ;)

I agree. I for one find the misuse of the RvB title to be wildly inappropriate.

Considering the fact that TQ goes down for an hour each day and that CCP is not above making hideous miscalculations on proposed downtimes, I am pretty sure that a testing hour on TQ could very well be arranged (European ealry morning has few players online for example) given enough notice. I think if CCP really did want to, it could be done. At they very worst, there would be a big nerdrage after people were lagging out for that hour, but honestly, that would be nothing new to CCP or the players.

he was making a reference to the constant bleating of "put all the devs on this" when the ones he was referencing are web developers (and not game developers). .

Maybe they should turn off the logs. That should free some resources

Its not like the logs show any errors anyway!
