I stumbled across this link during my browsing today and could not help but laugh at the writer's style.
I believe he has epitomized frustration and provided such great examples from "the good old days" that I just had to share it.
I do hope you enjoy the laughs. Warmly, "The Bear" JW

Having played PC games since the early 80's i've never experienced the problems in the article. I bought the original NES, but since then i've only played console games when visiting friends. PC's still provide the best gaming experience.

Geez, that guy just needs to learn to troubleshoot
Joking aside, personally I actually do think that is the problem, he has no idea how to get a computer built and working properly.
And for the new consoles always working perfectly? ya right. Last I checked 360s still have a 33% failure rate. Dunno about PS3 or Wii, but on older consoles as well they always fudged up one way another. PC though? Well if something does go wrong, you can fix it yourself, you don't need to send it in for repairs ~ CURRENT INTERNETS = + 444176 |

yeah, but on a 360 the GAMES work fine.. until the console goes. You never have to fiddle with pretty much anything at all. until the console dies. And dies it will.
Actually ive had either excellent luck with computers, or actual skill, as i never really have problems, or i can troubleshoot :p
Also, that guys an idiot. Just sayin.

I quite enjoy both. Different control styles work better for me for different game types. (I cant stand PC FPS, at all)
Consoles have one major perk however, they don't go obsolete after a year and a half. PC's can become "ancient" almost overnight.

Of course you wouldn't ;p
Games back then were (arguably) a lot less complex and bugged, the experience from 25+ years of dealing with PC's helped a lot aswell. But for people who are only starting to work with PC's around this time it's a hell to get used to, at least as far as gaming is concerned.
