I don't know if anyone else finds they do this.
I play Eve from a W-Space system. I've found that I now very seldom play the few hours before DT because I know that whatever I do I will have to rescan the system to get the new sigs for the plexes and sites.
In the past I'd always play in the hours before DT, but because of the daily sig changes I find there is no point scanning til the new sigs are up and consequently I now play much less than I used to in K-space.
Has w-space changed your game playing? Would changing the way the sigs are updated help?

I don't think the sigs change just the IDs. So if you scan prior to DT and bookmark the sigs you should not have to scan them all the way down again just to where you know what the new ID is.
To find the new IDs, I use just a single probe at 1 or 0.5 AU and maneuver it over the bookmark and scan. Then I ignore the result and continue until I have all the bookmarks finished. Once I have scanned them down I do a system wide scan to see if any new sigs spawned.

Exactly. Also, you could open your own chat channel, and keep sigs in the MOTD, and have all people update it as they scan. That way you wont be scanning more then needed.
If you have a POS in there, make sure to put all BM's in a can to avoid having to re-scan every time things change.
It's a bit of administration, but very doable. ========================== Nothing is true, everything is permitted. ========================== |

Honestly! If I had brains I'd be dangerous... I've been scanning them down again from 32 or 16 and guessing 'which' BM was 'what' new designation when I got close. Well, uh, duh...
Many thanks Bertillac. The joy returns to w-space!

One thing that helps me scan is that I've found 90% of signitures spawn within an 8 AU scan of a planet so for those 150AU systems (this is from experience so might not be entirely true)... just chuck a probe with 8AU scan on each planet to start off with... that way you can get all the sigs first before you start narrowing down the percentage
