Sorry, but CCP don't have time to work on current features like server uptime until Incarna is released.

Where did the server go or where do I look to find out. This game site dosent exactly have a streamlined easy to fine status tool with comprehensive and up to date readouts.
hint hint..

Its only down for you. They realized that through all these threads you have super hacker skills (like Mr. T.), and if they took the server down for just you, that you would in fact whip up a perl script to fix the entire server. This is clearly a signature. |

CCPs actual timeframe was "18-24" months
This was taken as "18 months" by the playerbase for the same reason products are often proiced at 19.99 in stead of 20 dollars

Aaaand this is what you get when you keep piling on more "features" instead of fixing your core technology.
"the data does not support polished quality over more features"
Think that one over again I'd say...
The current direction of CCP is the gaming equivalent of sticking 4 chrome bumpers and 12 spoilers on a rusty LADA with a broken engine.

CCP also never promiced they would actually start fixing stuff by then, it's purely playerbase imagination... so you can easily tripple that 24 months considering CCP's soonÖ |

WHAT A NICE SERVER!!! (copy/paste) http://www.datacenterknowledge.com/archives/2010/06/16/closer-look-eve-onlines-new-server-cluster/
The online science fiction game universe EVE Online is moving into new space in its existing data center in London, where game operator CCP Games has deployed a 12-cabinet cluster of servers. The new deployment will house the Tranquility (TQ) cluster, which powers the EVE Universe of more than 330,000 players (except for Chinese users, who play on the separate Serenity cluster).
ôItÆs gotten to the point were a couple of cabinets simply donÆt handle it anymore,ö writes Derek Wise, CCPÆs Technical Director, in a blog post describing the new infrastructure. ôThis will provide better network connectivity, fewer intermediary devices and increased capacity.ö
The new cluster runs IBM blade servers with 280 total cores, and more than 4.8 terabytes of local storage. The Tranquility cabinets require 79 kilowatts of power and are housed in a cold-aisle containment system to manage airflow and server waste heat. ôCold air from the center of the aisle is force-fed into the cabinets reducing the loss or wasted cool air significantly and helping to focus cold air where itÆs needed most,ö Wise writes. ôThis takes the industry standard ôhot aisle/cold aisleö designs a step further without having to do anything crazy like running servers under nitrogen pools (although that is pretty cool).ö
