Can you just surrender without consequence?
Is this legit? Or is this seen as noobish?

It is seem as noobish, but that is no guarentee that the corp wont start up a new wardec. You can put in a new vote for war at any time so hypothetically you could always make two sanction-able actions, act on one, and when that one goes down, click the other. -------------

I had a question about that myself. Can the wardeccing corp make some kind of surrender price that you have to pay to stop the wardec? Or can the wardecced corp just keep surrendering and making the aggressor waste money?

In order to "surrender" you have to leave your alliance or close your corp. Repeatedly joining and leaving an alliance to clear decs is an exploit, though hopping to shadow corps or NPC corps is not.

To surrender the CEOs of the two corps have to be in the same station, then the CEO of the attacking corp has to agree to the proposed terms (everything the surrendering CEO puts in the surrender trade window.)
Its basically just a way for stupid carebear CEOs to get scammed by the war deccer, and buy 24 hours of no war.

This. Surrender option is rarely used and does not allow you to escape a dec.

The very moment you surrender for a price, you will have corps war decing you left and right demanding money.

That's why you put something about confidentiality and protection for the next 30-90 days after the dec is over in the agreement to pay them off. - - - Dian'h Might - C&Ps resident "internet kleptomaniac" |
