I know... I know... Its bad to take a battle ship into low sec alone but hey... thats my plan. I want to go ratting and maybe catch a few unsuspecting targets while out there but my main focus is on ratting for money in dangerous teritory. I use amarr equipment as i have gone into armor tanking/lasers/and drones. I would like to ask all of my wonderfully pleasant capsuler brothers and sisters what should i avoid using a cap dependent ship? what rats would be the best to go after? What rats would be a bad idea to go after? Where are these rats. Finally what pc ships should i avoid (curse) and what might be okay to engage. I don't want to use a legion because its to expensive to lose.

Assuming this is not a troll...
the best rats to engage are, probably , Sansha, followed closely by blood raiders. The latter neut, the former tracking disrupt. Geddon is not really that good a ship for lowsec ratting - the dps boost over a Harbinger probably gets lost in locking time and tracking.
pvp-wise, you can engage almost anything in a Geddon, but it is never entirely safe to do so. Competently flown ctive tanked or neut heavy battleships (Mael/Hype/Domi) will tear you a new one; recons are bad news for almost any solo bs if flown well. Still worth a shot, as they are by no means all flown well, pretty expensinve, frequently pimped, and a pilgrim for example will have a hard time with your drones and your own heavy neut (fit one).
ECM is game over, but that is also the case for pretty much any soloer. ECM sucks.

Like you said, it's a bad idea. You really have to know what you're doing. Ratting requires one type of fit and PVP requires a completely different type of fit. That's the first thing you need to keep in mind.
Watch the club bear videos. The ones made by Kil2. He does some solo work with a geddon and some good small gang stuff.
Thrid, it takes a fair amount of SP and a lot of pilot experience to do what you're doing. Start with something smaller. Then work your way up unless you can afford to blow at least 10 these up it's not a good idea.
If you want risk, go to 0.0. You will make more ISK for probably less risk. Fit a cload on the geddon. Your lock time will be **** but you can warp to a safe spot and hide when reds come in. You have a good drone bay so keep drones to deal with the smaller ships. Ligs, Mediums and medium ECMs just in case.

Your main problem is going to be lack of mid-slots. For PVP you need a MWD, cap booster, and a warp disruptor. Since you only have 3 mid slots, this means you can't fit ECCM or anything else. An Armageddon is better as a DPS ship in a fleet that has frigates or cruisers to tackle.
For ratting, you'd be better off with an Apocalypse, as it has a much better capacitor and a significant range bonus on its lasers.
Given what you seem to want to do, I'd strongly consider the Harbinger instead, because it's more agile and can more easily "sneak" around hostile 0.0, and you should definitely go with an alt who can scout the way and watch out for incoming enemies (a second monitor helps). If your alt can do remote repair, or capacitor transfer, then that makes it easier to go ratting with a PVP-fit ship.

great advise. thank you all. true 0.0 is good. I have used a geddon in 0.0 before and i liked it. It could hit the rats hard enough and survive well plus it had drones for the smaller rats. also with the extra high slot and extra low slot i could put a cloak and a warp stabalizer for safety with out losing tank or fire power. the most important thing however is that it is the cheapest battle ship because no one wants to use it or at least its not used by the majority. lastly a drone laser boat needs no dock and its at the 0.0 docks that, if i were a pirate, i would hit a noob like me. the other ships that could do much more damage also need to resupply. if i take the scorch and conflageration and only use them when i need to then i should be able to make exteded stays in null sec. At least thats the plan but as you know whats on paper isn't always what happens in the feild.
