Hey, everybody. I'm about a month into my EVE career, and I just lost the 1.6M skillpoint training bonus. I didn't use it very wisely, so now I have a lot of learning skills to train (and it will be months before I can train anything else). I'm interested in deleting my user and then creating a new one. However, I want the new one to have the same name. If I delete "Character1" and then wait 10 hours for the termination process, can I create another character with the name "Character1"? Thanks for your help!

If the character has been deleted, the name can be reused.

Are you really, really sure you come out ahead???
The only reason I can see to start over is if you really messed up a remap.
Your choices are: 1) Spend 2 months (or probably more like 6 weeks) learning the learning skills and then have your learning skills + 1.6 million SP. or 2) Start a new toon. Spend 4 weeks learning the learning skills, then 2 weeks getting back the 1.6 million points.
You probably come out pretty much the same in the end.
Don't like being stuck with the skills you have now, unable to train anything else, just try a BRAND NEW toon with NO skills for a month.
Or you could chill a little and dedicate yourself to spending... say 50% or 75% of your training time to learning and the rest to whatever the heck you want to spend it on.

Learning skills are not THAT important. You can still salvage what you have and mix in real training with learnings and still do fine.
Training learning skills first takes the fun from being new and i wouldn't recommend it unless you are very specific about being optimal or are training up an alt.

That is probably the best solution!
If the OP can afford having two accounts for 2 months, then he can use the first to play and send money to the second while the second just learns the learning skills and then catched up to the first account.
Okay, Okay.. you can't have the exact same name... so chage it slightly.
Like for me, if I wanted to start a new toon but NARDAC was taken, I could change it slightly... to say... NARDsAC.

Oh, I guess you guys are right. I have been swayed... It was like an EmoRageQuit, but more an EmoRageRestart. Thanks!
