Hi everyone, bombs have necesarily to be launched from the distance of 30km from target or they can be launched from less than 30km exploding when they hits the target?
Thanks!

They fire off in the direction your ship is facing, travel for about 30 seconds, then explode and damage everything within a 15 km radius or so. You don't need to have a target locked to fire them, just point your ship and click.
edit: 30 seconds at 1,000 m/s or 10 seconds at 3,000 m/s, I don't remember which off the top of my head but it's about a 30km distance. |

Because of the 15 km blast radius, you can use a bomb at less than 30 km and still hit stuff anywhere in the blast area. Of course, for a paper-thin SB, being less than 30 km from attackers isn't necessarily healthy.
You can even launch a bomb and MWD into the blast radius if you are suicidal.
EDIT: btw, Bombs travel 3,000 m/s for 10 seconds.

I thought that bombs had a detonation proximity that would make them explode if they hit something???? I think I've launched a bomb from about 15km out and it exploded when it hit what I was aiming at. Maybe not though?

bomb goes 3000 m/s for 10 seconds then explodes with a 15 km blast radius
If you take this into consideration then you should be able to figure out that anything within 15km of the point your bomb goes off will be hit.
So if you align to your target (bomb shoots out of the front) you can in theory hit a target that is 15 to 45 km away from you (that is quite a large area) and anywhere in between that. as your target probably will be moving I'd suggest firing bomb between the 20 and 40 km mark
so now here comes some creative icon art to illustrate this
BE = Blast Edge POD = Point Of Detonation
(you)<--15 km-->(BE)<--15 km-->(POD)<--15 km-->(BE)
anything that is in the area from the left BE to the right BE (and ofcourse in a huge 15 km circle around POD) will get hit
so conclusion: you can hit anything from 15 to 45 km with a bomb that is straight infront of you

Do you have any bombers left?

With the same damage in all the radius of explosion?

Yes.
But keep in mind, that low signature ships will get less - if any - damage. It's like firing missiles: signature radius, explosion radius, math blah blah :-)

Are you sure? It's an AoE weapon, like smarbombs, no sig radius in the formula (in fact frigs and drones get instapopped).

it HURTS. even if you are in a small hull. Although it hurts more in a BS. careful of multiple bombs.... specially when gate camping ;)

He is correct. All stealth bomber bombs have an explosion radius of 400m, unlike smartbombs. Ships with sigs below 400m take proportionately less bomb damage. Like smartbombs, the target's speed has no effect on bomb damage, which is why small ships should not try to MWD out of the way.
