Another "Why did you join EVE-online?" thread. Just because we love them.
*poetic freedom* Coming home from a flight through the vastness of the world, space and everything beyond *poetic freedom*, i realised i would have nothing to do for the next at least very long time. Having nothing to do but sit at home looking into thin air, I went to one of the local stores, in this case a book store to purchase a computer game to have something to spend my time on through the next many months of hardship. Especially cause I had allready spent 6-7 months of hardship looking into thin air. i quickly decided it'd have to be an mmo of some sort, as I was quite sure it was "destined" to be a very long time of looking into thin air. Looking through the shelves I found this cool looking gamebox with a portrait on the front which remembered me of some I used to like. A salesman catched my attention for a short while, and i decided to buy the box and try it out. And so... started my time in EVE.
Catch phrase of the day: "Timberrrrrrr!!!"

because i love space stuff. and, the release worked out perfectly to when i would have cable i-net in the area i lived, so i just waited. and, the horror stories of other MMOG just made me not want to try anything until it needed a decent computer setup. why? well, i figured the more it needed, the better it would be! and i was correct... for once...
EVE rocks. Plain and simple.
I fork my fists while I log in.
there is a fine, but dissasterous line between a fart and a shart. i suggest you make sure which side you want to be on... |

Being a huge fan of space sims i.e Wing Commander and Privateer etc this game was a must for me! And i have been hooked ever since... May 10th to date... 3 time i have quit and returned less than a week later.
I love Eve and everything about it although i dont play as much as i used to as that pesky **work** keeps me away for long periods!! and not to mention the **Mrs** which keeps nagging me to pay more attention to her

Cos Eve looked great, the graphix and how u could do tons of stuff either as a group or solo. Eve is just like returning to childhood when i played the 80's classics, Elite, and other games too numerous to mention.
Things in the game can only get better as its constantly changing; politics, wars, alliances etc. It really is a persistant, evolving universe...
Doubleplusgood is all i can say

I first started playing Freelancer, after a while it got boring so i went of the hunt for a similar game, i spotted even and i thought "wicked", took it home just to find out it was pay to play, i thought damn this sucks, i was in the process of taking it back to the shop but it just collected dust for a few weeks, then i decided to have a pop, and since then ive allways played it and im damn glad i didnt take it back to the shop, TYrouble with eve, its not advertised enough like most games so people are missing out on such a great game. so its everyones job to spam email's with the buddy programe lol ------------------------------------------------

Funny. I played a lot of freelancer before joining EVE, and found it rather boring at some point.

Quite simply...... I'm a dreamer.
While RL is hectic and busy I'm just one of these types who lets his mind wander and think about light topics such as how big the universe is and who else is out there.
That and I love space. I think I was born about 1,000 years too early.
