Using evemon I have come up with a basic plan for the required skills that I know are needed such as mining baarge v, mining foreman, mining director etc
But I am having difficulty trying to work out what are the additional skils (not pre reqs) that I should also train to get the best 'bang for the buck' from an Orca. This orca pilot will be supporting 1 to 3 hulk miners.

Cybernetics 5 to use the Mining Foreman Mindlink Implant. Also train Warfare Link Specialist to 4 to bonus the links even more.

Jury rigging and high speed maneuvering. Fit a large ancillary current router rig to the Orca and you have enough power grid to fit a battleship micro-warp drive on it. Start a warp from a dead stop, turn the MWD on, turn it back off again, and 10 seconds later when the MWD pulse ends you enter warp. It's a massive increase. ______________________________________________________ Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? |

Cybernetics to V is important that mindlink not only boosts the gang links but gives a base 5% increase to the gang mining yield.
Warfare link specialist Mining director should both be trained to lvl V ideally but IV first. If you realy want to buff perfect then Industrial command ship to V is the last thing to buff.
Fit Expanded cargohold in lows and also cargo optimization rigs to get you 179km3 split amongst the different bays.
My plan that i have working on the alt currently takes 150d to perfect buff thats Warfare Link Specialist Cybernetics Mining Director and Industrial Command Ship all at V. ------------------------------

OR just copy/paste the loadout in raw format into eft. Then go to Evemon import the fitting from eft.
Better than downloading evemon skill plan since you sometimes get broken load outs with modules missing by just grabbing the file.

not sure if you're trolling but sure Orca is a big jetcan but it can also boost an entire hulk fleet by 55% which is pretty sweet. It also means the hulk can go straight for maximizing the Yield instead of fitting cargo expanders. Also it supplies additional defence/mining by fielding either Mining Drone II or Similar Combat drones.
It can also act like a mini-freighter for some people allowing them to move a large amount of m3 around space.
Imo its a must have for any high-sec mining corp or multibox pilot. ------------------------------

Edited by: Covert Kitty on 03/09/2010 22:17:47 It has other virtues as well, the corp hanger is unscannable thus it is excellent at hauling high value stuff. Its useful in the process of force closing wormholes, you can also use it to haul BC or smaller class ships in its ship hanger. It also provides fitting services. It's basically a mobile base.
Many people get them for the above reasons without regard at all to mining.

???
Im confused, that is the loadout I was pointing towards ... not a skill plan. You can load it into either of them. All you do is goto plans in evemon drop down and then import file and it uses the loadout to get the skill set.
