CCReS, a powerful class 6 dwelling Corporation have now set off to self destructing billions of isk worth of ships, as their main POS tower's reinforced timer hits less than 3 hours remaining. Linkage to image
Aperture Harmonics invaded on Saturday and set about sieging their POSes all weekend, with minimal retaliation, they seem to be taking the "cultist" way out.
Thoughts?

You conveniently left out that you had to hire Noir. Mercenary corp to pad your numbers so instead of an even 30 CCRES vs 30 AHARM it's been a constant 30 CCRES vs 60+ AHARM + Noir.
You came in here not wanting a fight obviously, so don't moan about CCRES not suiciding their ships onto your little coalition.
We could have had some goodfights but I guess AHARM lacks either the skill or the numbers over CCRES.

You just dont want to fight. you COULD, but you're not, you're too afraid of the little red boxes on your killboard.

Not really, but with your 16 caps active inside our WH plus 50+ guys in t3's bhaalgorns curses logis and other stuff, going out with 5-6 caps and 20 support = feeding you 30 KMs for the price of 2-3.
You had enough spies in CCRES to figure out how inactive the corp was yet you still chose to bring in overwhelming numbers of mercs into the WH, plus the 0rphanage for an empire war dec.
Good job, you blobbed and won by default. Want a cookie?

Aight, whatever, 0rphanage had no real impact. It's the 40 or so Noir mercs inside the WH that changed the outcome of this invasion from potentially fun invasion with lots of fights to a boring POS bashes and self destructs.
Congrats.

That's because I've been in the corp for a total of 7 days and this invasion is pretty much the first real PvP action I've seen. I was looking forward to some challenging PvP inside the WHs but it turns out even the largest and supposedly best WH corp in EvE resorts to blobbing before trying it with equal numbers and winning with skill.
Yeah, it's disappointing to say the least both that CCRES don't have the numbers to match AHARM + Noir, and that AHARM had to bring in Noir for what could've been an awesome invasion.
Sorry for complaining about blobbing, I didn't know it was something I had to applaud - we've got enough of that going on in nullsec.
p.s. my carrier got hotdropped by 11+ PL supercaps last night, so the last 24 hours have been nothing but one crappy blob after the other.

Yeah. Ideally CCRES should have not tried to hire mercs to counter the mercs you brought in and try to level the playing field. They should have just combined their 30 pilots into one fleet and launch themselves into your 60+ blob with 20 caps, wave after wave, till all ships were empty and you'd have a 95% efficiency on 50 bill of Killmails. Yeah, how stupid of them to try and level the playingfield. How stupid of them to deny you the Killmails you deserved, after all you brought "it" and then some.
You guys got rid of your main rivals, you did that well and you deserve props for that, evictions aren't usually easy.
But complaining about self destructs or the lack of good fights when you brought double the number of both caps and players via mercs, makes you look stupid, naive and delusional.

Don't know for how much of a fleet a large death star + pos gunners counts for, but that + a 30 man fleet hitting you on a pos bash could potentially be annoying as hell. I can imagine Aperture hiring some extra muscle to deal with any oddities along the way.
That + the blobbing whine is getting old. In wars humanity has been blobbing as long as we've existed and we will blob for evermore. Get more guys yourself next time.

There weren't enough POS gunners to kill even a dread on time before siege ended. AHARM had so many spies in CCRES they would have known that (the thread was on internal forums too which they had access to).
Mods were all incapped within 15 minutes of the siege because of all the dreads they had and the entire POS bash lasted less than an hour with all that dps.
Personally I did my part and had some fun by bombing the carriers' fighters and drones in my Nemesis as often as I could before the bubbles started going up (I got about 11 bombs in) but that was the only thing I could do.
I only brought up the blob because the OP's a joker and thinks he's gonna get a fight when he brings double the blob. Perhaps if AHARM wanted fights they could have used some strategy and first tried fighting us with their own corp and if things failed then bring in the mercs. Also of the 30 online, some were alts, some were afk and some were spies. They had 60+ actives at all time so the ratio was even more skewed.

AFAIK, AHARM and CCRES clash at least weekly due to c6 mechanics, and we've been hearing rumours of the logged off cap ship buildup for over a week. Unless things have got very bitter between the two, I would have thought a lot more fun could have been had by both if they just didn't pod CCRES pilots, and then went at it.
If CCRES don't fight to the end, they lose all their stuff in the hole (so it's stupid to say about feeding KB stats unless that's all they care about, everyone knowns they just got vapourised), AHARM get less loot as wrecks despawn before they can be raided?, but AHARM won't lose (m)any more of their own. Anyone who logs off in something is likely to find the system inhabited & exit camped for a week+ but might save 1 ship+cargo. Minimal fun for either side.
If CCRES do fight, they almost certainly still lose all their stuff, but they could take some of AHARM. AHARM even have that incentive to let the pods go back for more, as loot should build up on the field, and more pew could be had.
Why doesn't each & every pilot think 'if they don't pod me, I'll see what these ships can really do'? |

Well you know that wont happen. Every pilot you pod in a wormhole is one that's not quickly coming back to the fight, so a much bigger chance that you will win.. So you might have to deal with a dozen POSs with defences still up, and you have capships inside the shields.. Well those are just spoils of war..
