As the title says, what ship would you fight in if your life depended on it? Just curious.

Helios. And I wouldn't uncloak. In fact, I might just sit in the station if my life really depended on it.

If my life really depended on it, then I would have to fly the right ship.

About the Polaris Legatus frigate...
Shield EHP: (6250*1.25)/((100-99.9)/100) = 7.8M EHP Shield peak recharge: ((6250*1.25)/(3*0.75))*2.4 8333.33 hp peak shield recharge per second with max skills (all pilots who fly these have maxed skills). 99.9% resistances brings 1000 dps down to 1, so it would take >8.33 million dps to break the passive shield tank, assuming no modules are fit.
Then there's the 10000 (=12500) hp armor layer with 99.9% resistances = 12.5M EHP, again with a fit.
Aren't they also impossible to target? Yeah, that'd be my choice.

If your life depended on it no ship in EVE could save you as the database will crash and burn.

Being realistic and balancing cost and survivability. I'd have to go with the Drake and It's massive shield buffer.
