Title: EveGate Mailwriting
Description: I tried to use evegate with my HTC-Desire Handy. It works fine. But there is a flaw. If i try to reply to an email, i canÄt edit the text. No keyboard appears in that box. Adress/Sender/Recipient and Topic work fine. But not the text box !
1st bug report answer:: // This is a known issue. Sadly mobiles are not officially supported yet but CCP is looking into it. - Thanks, BH Tridymite
Now, can you tell me..is it a bug or not ? I don¦t care - pls take it also as a feature request...

We don't commit to fixing issues on platforms we don't support, and supporting new platforms is a feature request.
You'd get a fairly similar response if you filed a bug saying "I installed EVE on BeOS and it works except I can't undock", or indeed "I installed EVE on my nuclear submarine and it works fine except for that one time I tried to activate the torpedoes on my Raven and accidentally sunk a French destroyer". In either case we'd tell you that you're using an unsupported platform and therefore that you should probably not assume it will work perfectly.

I assume this is a confirmed and tested bug? __________________________

I submitted the same thing a few weeks ago, and it's been attached to a defect and marked as "Fixed in: Winter 2010".
Oh, and GreyScale - The bug is about a web browser based on WebKit (same engine as Chrome and Safari on the desktop), hardly a different platform.

Unfortunately we don't have the necessary hardware to reproduce the issue internally.

If it was the same platform as Chrome (which it does work on AFAIK) then it wouldn't be broken :P In all seriousness, this sort of thing is exactly why we do define supported platforms fairly strictly, because being "mostly the same" isn't always enough to guarantee that it won't break in edge cases (or center cases, in this case).

So when I can't use eve-gate on my Desire it must be a safety protocol to prevent me from sinking french destroyers? That must mean there are french destroyers in the vicinity of me!
OMG the french are covertly invading Sweden!!

That was much funnier to me than it should have been.
