I have done everything I can think of, tested every theory of any post I could find, but still nothing. I wonder if any GM reads these forums, since the petition system looks like its broken too.

I was able to log in normally once i removed utorrent and DNA i'm able to log in fine now......

If you are still having this problem Remove(uninstall) all Torrent software that's on your computer it's Probably interfering with EVE db or something by making itself priority over EVE for your internet resources.

I do not have any torrent software on my main gaming machine whatsoever. Patience didn't help, I let it attempt to run overnight with no success... 5/46 is all I've got.

I have.. well, similar problem. It stops at 'Acquiring Bulk Data 5" for about 20 seconds, then it moves quickly to end, and eve crashes with Application Error 0xc0000142. After that I get that error from any application I try to run, so rebooting is a must. I've tried to run window's CHKDSK, eve's repair tool, tried to reinstall game, install in diffrent directory, nothing works. Filled a petition, but got no response yet.

hello out there, has anybody found the solution to the bulk data problem?
if u have, please let us know. i have been having this problem for 7 days now, and its becoming increasingly troublesome. this problem has also been happening for the past few patches and expansions.

Same here.. I've sent files from logserver to CCP, but haven't heard from them for like 4 days now.. I've 3 days of remaining playtime, think I'm gonna cancel subscription for now. Also too bad, that the patch didn't solve that problem

I got the "Acquiring Bulk Data 5/46" thing around 9 days ago and eventually logged in around 15 hours after my first attempt. Well guess what? It's back again with this patch, only this time it's more annoying. This time it take an hour to get to "Acquiring Bulk Data 45/46" and when I just think it's going to work it resets itself back to the login screen. Wonderful. I don't have any torrent software running either. Nine days after people reported this issue and not a single word from ccp.
Bottom Line: I haven't had this issue since I came back to eve 18 months ago and now I have had it twice in 10 days.

This. I've been unable to log in since the last patch. Once it acquires 45/46 it resets the the login screen and needs to re-acquire the same thing. Very annoying. Blessedly I still have a week left on my skill so hopefully someone will find a work around before then?
Or of course CCP could step in and give some input.

i also have this problem, got stuck on 5/46 for about 20mins, then it jumps up to 44/46 and i'm still stuck there.
i've restarted, and reinstalled the client and i never get past 44/46 before it crashes

Same here. Just got to work, updated the patch, and stuck at 3/46 also. No torrent software either.

It solved itself the first time with enough time waiting, but going on into day two now.
Lesson learned: Reoccuring log-in problems after each patch means that a 2 day skill que isn't long enough. Looking forward to a log in to start another skill.
An official response or acknowledgement would be nice.

With the latest patch I am now blue screening with error Stop 0+0000003F at the Aquiring Bulk Data stage...
Never had a problem before patch...
Guess time to cancel if its not fixed soon.

Same here; I've noticed the same problem before with Singularity, though that usually solved itself with repeated log-on attempts or restarting the computer. Re-installing EvE or fiddling with the app-data caches seems to have no effect either. It's a real head-scratcher.

Never mind, I forgot to copy across the new files in the .RAR download link that you provided.
This solved my blue screening issue, and I can now log in successfully!
I wonder what CCP broke to cause my PC to crash like that every time ... the mind boggles

I had this problem about two weeks ago, this seemed to help:
Hi,
See if clearing your cache and settings folders helps, corrupt cache and settings files can cause ingame items and information being shown incorrectly or not at all. It can also cause players, ships and items to function improperly.
For this, you need to locate the following folder, assuming that you have installed EVE in the default location C:\Program Files\CCP\EVE : ( is C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE on 64bit versions of Windows )
Press Windows Key + R and paste the following line into the Run window.
Windows XP: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility Windows XP Steam: %USERPROFILE%\Local SettingsLocal Settings\Application Data\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_steam_steamapps_common_eve_online_tranquility Windows Vista: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility Windows Vista Steam: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_steam_steamapps_common_eve_online_tranquility Windows Vista 64bit: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility Windows Vista 64bit Steam: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_steam_steamapps_common_eve_online_tranquility Windows 7: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_ccp_eve_tranquility Windows 7 64bit: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\c_program_files_(x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility
There you will find the cache and settings folders, rename/move both of them, in order to save them. Then relog and try again.
Do note that copying the settings folder or any of it's files back may cause your problems to resurface, this includes the prefs.ini file.

Over a month, and still having the same problems. I've deleted cache files, renamed them, run the fix, installed the optional patches, and still not able to get past the bulk data issues. PLEASE HELP!!!
