build 181725: - Jukebox folder still crashes the game/wine/glibc - windowed mode works great (no more stretched resolution issues for me, resizing works very well) - some very strange gfx issues on high shader settings http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=24486 - SSL browser support does not work

Confirming these two under x64 with nvidia gtx260 and 256.44. Didn't test / notice the other two you mentioned.

There are people on Windows that are reporting issues there too. Shaders are not Wine specific things.

When using mining lasers or a salvager I have to zoom all the way out or else the FPS goes to < 1FPS. Doesn't matter whether it's high or low shader settings.
My guess is maybe the effect is falling back to a software rendering option if my GeForce 6800GT can't render it using 3d acceleration? A driver issue?

I just checked windowed mode with build 185699 (Tyrannis 1.1) and it's still the same as usual for me, ie: Blurry scaling and mouse pointer misaligned until an appropriate resolution (One of only two) is selected. After which there is no further issues as Eve remembers the new settings. It's been that way for a few years now. Windoze users have some related issues around lack of windowed resolutions.

Yep, well known issue with GF 6/7 series. The workaround is to disable GLSL setting in Wine.
I wasn't sure about the low shader setting working. Thanks for confirming it doesn't.

Finally got the Incursion installer to work for me. Now at build 190536 and yep no initial windowed scaling issues any longer. I'd hazard a guess this has fixed related issues for Windoze users.

In fact what seems to happen is the client will open and use in a valid resolution where as previously it seemed to scale from what it wanted to what it was given.

Back in May someone found another jukebox workaround that keeps the jukebox working, it was recently posted to Wine bugs.

EDIT: Hmm, nope, didn't work for me. If anybody else gets this to work let me know.
one might check for ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/winemp3.acm before proceeding and back it up if existent. or ommit the -f option in 'ln' command in order to be able to confirm an overwrite.
in shell:
winetricks wmp9
(boxes stating failure cascading, showing graphical corruption deluxe. still able to carry on and even install the codec pack. no idea if the latter is necessary though.)
in shell:
cd cd .wine/drive_c/windows/system32/ ln -sf l3codeca.acm winemp3.acm
the latter forcibly creates the symlink named winemp3.acm to l3codeca.acm from wmp9 installed with winetricks before. extension allegedly standing for audio compression manager.
renaming the folder in ~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files/CCP/EVE/res/audio back to jukebox
working.
copying complete wine install to another folder before gives the chance to now copy ~/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32/l3codeca.acm from wine folder with wmp9 to the according place in the new wine folder. accessing the folder with the corresponding wine prefix, for creating a symlink there with ln -s (see last command line above).
working again.
testing so far: playing default EVE Soundtrack list, creating a new playlist and adding custom tracks, volume control, jumping between tracks and shuffle.
sound quality is way better in vlc, so switched back to this. probably cause of direct access to sound daemon? would still be great if there was a way to implement a fix in wine. maybe also other codecs could do the job?

any news on the EVE client multi VDU support CCP threatened a while ago? s'just that i've had a helluva time getting Ubuntu to play nice with my duel monitor set-up and i'm imagining grave problems getting Wine to support it.

I'm struggeling with bad preformance in the Incursion character creator tool, its seems sluggish and parts of body dissaper when putting on cloths, and som changes take forever to happen.
I know this is still in testing but is there any workaround for this in wine?
Im running on OpenSUSE 11.3, Wine 1.3.5, graphics are Nvidia
Running main client, and test client in seperate pure wine bottles. no wintriks, patches or any mods to the wine install. Need more Khaaks |

Don't even bother with the character creator right now, it doesn't even work properly on Windows at the moment. Incursion has been split into three patches with things like the character creator not being released until january. Wait for future sisi patches before we start worrying about linux issues.
