I've created a tool to help with deciding what to produce when embarking on Planetary Interaction. EvePI The tool is very primitive at the moment, but I hope to add more features when I get some free time.
As it stands the application can be used to compare production costs of the various PI items. Prices can be imported from Eve-Central, using the import button from the manage price lists menu item.
Comments on ways to improve the application are always welcome.

It would get more attention in S&I or Market Discussion sections, I think. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

Thanks for the suggestion to post on the other channels. I'll probably post there when the code is more stable.
If anyone was getting an error when starting the application. I've fixed a problem that was throwing an exception.
The application now has proper icon, instead of the generic java icon. |

Don't get me wrong. You've made a niche product, aimed at very small amount of EVE population, the people dedicated themseves to make money from PI on a large scale. If it'd be assets manager or skill planner, which would basically anyone at least try, but for you, it's highly unlikely you can find enough of a testing auditory here. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

What's probably more interesting for the people who hang out in this channel, is the evepi-core which is been decoupled from the UI code. The evepi-core (315K jar inc. icons) contains all the details for PI materials and schematics, and a simple API to access the information.
If anyone is interested in using the evepi-core then I'll spend some time 'refining' the JavaDocs.

hi,
i think your tool would be usable.
suggestion: i want to get a search result for products i can archive, if i have some existing materials e.g. ionic solutions and felsic magma. the result should be a a product list what i can create AND what i can create if i gather something additional.
do you know what i mean?

I know exactly what you mean. I was thinking about it on the bus in to work this morning. I've got a tonne of PI materials in my hanger, and would like to know what I can produce from it.
Thanks for the suggestion, I'll add it to the list |

I've made some minor changes.
- The market prices to be displayed is now set from Manage PriceLists...
- The icon has been slightly improved.
