sooo i was testing around with scanning ( btw bring back the dots ), and went into poitot solar system in syndicate region, which is serpentis region and next thing i know theres like 100 anommalies on my scanner!!
Named Vanguard I, Vanguard II, and Vanguard Typ( think there is more to the name not sure, wont show me) 3rd shows as vanguard 3 tho on beacon once inside. when i warped to them, they talking about sansha secret forces, cloaked refineries, battle logistic facilities OH MY! I was like weeeeeee lets see how my proteus works in there... i get in and Beutiful!, love the new sansha outposts/arrays/facilities and stuff, but WHERE are the sansha lol.. its like a ghost town in there, not one around in every site :(
Will we be having a test day on fleet work killing sansha here?? If so can't wait, and will sansha be placed inside these areas soon?

VANGUARD #3 Your objective is to destroy the SanshaÆs Nation fleet amassing here. They will be making use of logistics arrays, so disabling them may be advisable.
VANGUARD #1 Nation is conducting operations in this system. Interference will not be tolerated.
Your primary objective is to destroy the SanshaÆs Nation battle station. Clearing the area of hostile forces should decloak the NationÆs ore refinery. Mine the local Lyavite asteroids and transport the ore to the refinery. The chain reaction caused by refining the explosive ore will tear the battle station apart.
VANGUARD #2 Your primary objective is to destroy the SanshaÆs Nation fleet amassing here, including any commanders present.

and when i try to shoot the logistics array in vanguard 3 it does 0.0 dmg ** wants to pillage sansha camp**

The NPCs in these sites are currently on strike. We are negotiating with the Sansha Workers' Union and we hope to persuade them to come out and play next week.

no, mining it all out is optional, there is some big veld in there and 1 rock of Lyavite, onyl required thing to be mine will be the lyavite to destroy refinery.

Only 4 BS you say ? This shouldn't be a problem, I can tank 23 while being neuted (they didn't have the new sleeper AI though ). I guess they have the difficulty of sleeper BS' ? Won't be easy to tank then, if they use neuts. No cap = no armor repair or shield boosting, and Sanshas will use EM damage, which will hurt the passive shield tanks with their EM resistance holes. Probably that's made intentionally, in order to force group play. Looking forward to test that and work out new PVE strategies

1. Open your map and apply the "incursion" filter.. find a system that is spot on.. and go through them until one system says "Assault" in the incursion interface on the left side of the screen..
2. launch a probe, put maximum scan distance

i can guess nighthawk, 5 lows, 5 med, 6 missiles. 501 DPS passive buffertank with omni setup
also notice none are targeting/firing at him?
If you look closely at the picture you will see the red targeting brackets around targets in space. The quality of the shot makes it hard to see. Anyway, It's definitely a NH. No AB, 5 mids, 5 lows and uses heavy missiles. Also, why the hell would he be using 5 hornets if he had a rattlesnake? Sentries or heavies.

They were firing, it's just a low resolution screenshot that makes it hard to see, here is one with 33 BS shooting.
Yes it was a Nighthawk (Tengus didn't exist back then), which has high kin/therm resistances, additionally increased with amplifiers, so that Gallente rats didn't do much damage. If the new Sanshas shoot with EM, it will be a completely different story ofc.
Did anyone test their tank/damage already and knows if they have to be fought with EM (like the normal Sanshas) or are more equal on all resistance types, similar to the Sleepers ? __________________________ http://eveboard.com/pilot/iudex |

You really think those new Sansha BS will be your grandmother's kind of lvl 5 mission rats?
If you've been to C5/C6 anoms you'd know how hard 4 battleships can really hit you... no lone nighthawk with passive tank would live long.

i did some tests yesterday and got pwned at every try, a dual rep paladin with 90% ewsistance to em and them lasted just under a minute.
an armour buffer scorp with a guardian was semi ok and tanking until they switched targets and blew up my guardian :S

I have been attempting to run some of the Assault sites over the last couple of days. With the Sleeper AI and target changing the old school passive L5 tanks are a a death sentence. I attempted a run with a passive tank Nighthawk W/ Basilisk support. As stated above it worked well until the rats started shooting at the Basilisk. what I did notice very quickly after attempting 2 different sites was that the number of ships did not change but the ship types did. The first "Assault II - Different Routes" I attempted was 2 Damage dealing BS, 2 Heavy Neut/Web/Scram BS and 1 Remote Repair Cruiser. The Second site of the same name had 1 ECM Cruiser (VERY effective), 1 Remote Repair BS and 3 of the damage dealing BS. I also attempted a run with a 220km ranged Raven running a 100MN Micro and shooting a Skittles load of rage missiles looking for resistence holes. I was able to keep range, stay cap stable and not get hit but I was unable to break the remote rep cruisers tank or any BS tank with the cruiser still alive and there are no resistence holes on the new rats.
I am going to make some more attempts tonight with corp mates on the incursion based in Metropolis, the Feragod system, which has Assault I, II and III anomolies. Last item of note is that the original 2 sites I attempted 3 days ago have despawned and 4 sites are now in their place.

i'm curious about their damage types... any idea if they deal em/thermal like other sanshas, or all types (ie. sleepers)?
if they deal only em/therm then passive tanked minnie ships (ie. loki) should be able to handle them easily |

Edited by: iudex on 03/10/2010 20:05:41 Thanks again for the hint, Jack bubu, finally found them (Assault II, 4 BS 1 Cruiser) and made some tests. They seem to have equal resistances for all damage types, those near Caldari space were shooting with kinetic torps / kinetic cruise missiles, don't know what the other damage type was.
It was like people already said above, a command ship had 0 chances, was dead within 1 minute. The system reduces the resistances of the ship (combat malus) and also jams cynos etc. As there was a seeding station on SiSi in this system, i tried it with a Moros and was able to kill them finally, the wrecks were empty though.
To get an idea how much damage they do, you can check the logs on this screenshot: kinetic resistance was 81%, the ROF of the Moros 6.23 seconds, you can see how much damage they inflicted between the blaster shots: SCREENSHOT (assault II site)

sounds good in theory... what really happens: Loki warps to 0, resist is 82% EM, 85% thermal, shield racharge 144h/s, 4 BS appear, Loki is locked... 5 seconds later loki has half shields... 12 seconds later loki is dead :(

You were recently pulled forcefully from your Loki which resulted in you losing 6585 skill points from the skill Minmatar Engineering Systems.
