They do not appreciate the fact they have a FREE warning there is a hostile in system. I say take it away from them. Once local is removed, they then can cry about not having a free warningą

I believe the main issue "cloak whiners" have is the "AFK" part of AFK Cloaking. And yes, when someone is in local 23/7, they are AFK at some point. Unless they are some super human that doesn't require sleep.

Please explain how removing local adds risk to AFK cloakers .
Go ahead. Remove local. As a compromise I say add a way to track and kill AFK cloakers . Would finally add some real risk to them.

No supported. Being one who has dealt with a few Mercs in tier 3 ships running around cloaked, I can honestly say that they don't need to be completely hidden. From what I've witnessed, a good cloaked Merc can actually use the local channel to their advantage by creating an air of suspense that completely unnerves their targets.

How about a compromise: they get their frequently proposed POS Doomsday Module of Uncloaking that they can use once every 6 hours to see send a massive energy surge throughout the system. But it does not decloak anything, it just removes the cloaked ship from local. So they get their module from CCP to address their concerns. And after the pulse there is nothing left to worry them.

I could support this compromise. But I think the Module should be more powerful and in effect be on all the time.
