Left clicking your capacitor will select your ship. May proove useful in large fleet-fights when you never really know where you are.

No. It is not. Current UI really lacks that cpecific bracket called "Your ship", so you never really know where you are. Especially when you fly an interceptor, you zoom out enough to see other larger ship in your gang, but too far to see your own ship. Enabling a tactical overlay in this case just gives you a whiter screen and no point where your ship is. 5km radius is just too much to recognise your 75km long ship, especially when LOD settings are set to "Low".
If the idea of "Your ship" bracket is unnacceptable, then you can use left clicking your capacitor to select your ship and see where you really are. ------- How would you answer this question? |

I have found that if you hold down the alt key, it will put a white square bracket around your ship...
I agree though, your own ship should be more visible when zoomed out.

While holding down your alt key, any accidental pressing left mouse will cause your camera to reset ------- How would you answer this question? |
