I'm thinking about getting into the gas mining industry. I know some explorers who find the sites in search of complexes, and will sell me the sites they find.
Any suggestions for what sites are worth mining, and how much I should pay for each one?

Mykoserocin clouds' gas (located in highsec) sells obviously for less than cytoserocin clouds. There are usually 10k gas in gas signatures, this should give a base for you.

You know WH gas mining could be lucrative. Most don't bother to mine it because it's a hassle and the training sucks. I was in a C3 with quite a few and I think it's a nice niche that not many people would look for. When you don't have WH jobs, you simply scan out Ladar sites on your own with a probe ship. It's pretty easy training and you can eventually work up to becoming a drug dealer.

I would not pay a thing. Simply scan for them yourself.
Gas sites concentrate in certain areas, and you clearly have worked them, so you know where to scan.
Good luck.

You don't make drugs with wormhole gas, you use them in conjunction with minerals to make hybrid polymers.

What I was getting at is if he doesn't have a WH to harvest gas in he can go harvest gas in k-space. I know the difference in gases and I even have the booster manual bookmarked that lists all the regions that have booster gases and the types.

WH gases are "technically" more lucrative then pure mining because per cycle you make more on the better gases. But you also have to probe the sites out, activate the site, wait for the sleepers, kill the sleepers and then gas mine for a while only to have the cloud be depleted fairly soon. In reality it's about on par with mining arkonor/some of the other high quality ores you find in WH's (And that's only assuming you get the good gases). In truth, you're better off just ninja-ing radars or mag sites or mining if you're looking for something more consistent (Considering that Arkonor/mercox pops up in most grav sites...) but relatively low-skilled. Thankfully I just got my t3 so no more crappy grav sites for me :P
