Anyone else get these 2 little stutters when landing at gates or stations.
wish they could get rid of them and make it smooth, it really breaks the immersion.

Yea, I assume it's because you're crossing over into the grid on gate.

That would really be nice if they fixed this, but I'm not sure they will. Apparently when you warp, it factors in how long you'll take to get there, how fast, etc, and then when you do get there, the client then compares notes with the Eve server to see exactly where your ship should be. If there are any corrections (which there always are) it then corrects. To be honest they could probably figure out a way to do these calculations so they don't appear to be so stuttered and abrupt.

You can use the gate right after the second jerk, when your m/s appears. I use it to time perfect jumps.

It's your computer loading the grid, not anything wrong with the server itself. Before I upgraded my PC, it had the same issue where it seemed to "bounce" after dropping out of warp. After getting a new CPU/mobo/RAM I've not seen it happen again.

Top of the line hardware doesn't mean a system is free from faults. There are always compatibility issues with some things, the current state of Tranquility is one example of that.

Get used to the jerking, seems to be the computer syncing up with the server. Sometimes its worse than others, go figure.
I was so incensed with the disintegration of the sound engine wrecking immersion during complexes and missions to the point where I rarely do them anymore. This happened about a year and half ago, players complained vehemently, but to no avail. Being in battle was intense, your weapons and the hits created a real sense of danger and excitement. Now, meh, the sound is muffled, and if you refocus the camera to get a better look with the tactical overlay everything goes silent.
The whole situation was stonewalled and was never resolved. So just ignore it as it will probably never get any real attention.

Well i'm using a i7 920, 6 gig of ram and gtx260 with eve running on a SSD so i doubt it's my pc.
CCP need to change the whole procedure of how it works/loads, cause at the moment it's rubbish.
With all the brain boffins, and scientists working at CCP, you'd think they could solve it in a few minutes, but nooo.

You're never going to get rid of the "stutters" while Eve is single-threaded. Simple as that - you can run whatever spec of machine you like, it isn't going to happen.
Basically it happens on any database lookup as well - trying showing info on a medium sized corp when you have the Standings tab selected from the last "show info". Nice long "stutter" there mmm?
tl;dr never going to be "fixed" because CCP are never going to re-write Eve to be multi-threaded.

The 'stuttering' or 'rubberbanding' as it's also called is because your client goes out of sync with the server. When the client resyncs it finds out that the server thinks your ship is in a different place than where the client thinks it is and so it adjusts and you get the signature rubber-banding. The major factor is network lag (long server ping-times) and sometimes load related lag on the server. I have quite a nice connection to the eve server and rarely get any rubberbanding at all.
Your multithreading hypothesis is not correct.

I'm not talking about rubber-banding.
My "hypothesis" is entirely correct - your client's graphics will freeze/stutter when a database lookup occurs. Confirmed years ago by CCP.

They say that eve isnt instanced, but it is secret instanced into small enough little pockets that no one really questions it.
