Edited by: Zverofaust on 07/10/2010 04:10:59 Edited by: Zverofaust on 07/10/2010 04:06:32 Tonight in Minmatar Militia stronghold of Auga a massive fight between Locus Industries and the Minmatar Militia saw two Dreadnoughts destroyed along with approximately 5 billion ISK of assets.
Throughout the night a small Locus Industries fleet comprised of approximately 8 individuals skirmished with Minmatar forces in several small-scale engagements. At one point Locus pilots deployed a carrier-class capital ship to engage a larger Minmatar force, who retreated and regrouped.
Some time later, after mobilizing a large general Militia fleet, Minmatar forces returned en masse to the Amamake gate in the Auga solar system with a Typhoon Fleet Issue flagship, Vulture command ship and, unknown at the time, three capital ships waiting on standby at the nearby Militia home starbase. Locus forces, upon spotting the large fleet, decided quickly to dive headlong into the battle in which they were heavily outmanned and outgunned. Expecting a counter-drop by enemy capital ships a single Locus carrier was mobilized which entered the frey.
After fierce fighting, Minmatar reinforcements arrived consisting of two Revelation-class dreadnoughts and a Nidhogger-class carrier. However, due to superior tactics on the part of Locus Industries, the field was held for several tense minutes as a second Locus-industries capital was mustered and deployed to the battle. The two Archon-class carriers successfully supported the small Locus fleet -- which at this point had swelled to about 10 pilots -- as they slowly but surely obliterated the Minmatar fleet numbering at least 50 pilots.
Several Locus Industries ships were lost in the fight, including a Megathron, Typhoon, Scorpion and Vagabond. All told however approximately 7 billion ISK in assets belonging to Minmatar forces were destroyed compared to the 700 million ISK in assets lost by Locus Industries.
Due attention must of course be given to Amarr militia forces who trickled in individually in small ships to skirmish with outer elements of the Minmatar force. Attention should also be given to Predator Elite and the Important Internet Spaceship League who arrived in the waning moments of the fight to provide cover as the field was looted and Minmatar remnants driven off from the outskirts of the battlefield. Despite the fact that these allies arrived at the very end of the fight and are not even listed as being present in the after-action battle report, local Minmatar forces spared themselves no humility in lambasting Locus Industries for needing to drop half a dozen more capital ships to secure the field.
This is the second large-scale engagement in as many weeks where Locus Industries proved vital in destroying a large enemy force -- last week forces of Daisho Syndicate and their allies lost 4 carriers to Locus Industries and Important Internet Spaceship League in the same system after Star Fraction unwittingly directed them to the Locus trap.
This is Zverofaust of LOS-R News, reporting from Auga.

I would like to point out that while The Fausticle has recently been seen over-communicating his texts are at least 50% easier to read and make 100% more sense than the Jaded One's.
That is all.

Although only 2 pilots from my corp were among the involved parties we were there for the whole fight and the hours prior to it. Ensuring the escalation to the final engagement was everything it could be.
My CEO selflessly piloted shield tanked ships time and time again into the fray losing a total of 3 bc and 1 bs for the whole night of skirmishing. I myself lost a Megathron.
Considering that LOCUS had 2 carriers deployed taking it in turn to enter triage and the facts that the combined LOCUS and TAII fleet was so small and easy to manage from an RR point of view. I can only come to the conclusion that my loss at least was intentional. There is a reason why LOCUS flies alone.
Plans are already underway to bring The Taiidan Syndicates 3rd tour of duty within the Amarr Militia to an end and return to the quite life in The Forge region.

Perhaps you should ask your known associate Zanco Ceal for advice on fitting properly armor tanked ships.
Your personal losses, while grievous, were a small price to pay in relation to the amount of Minmatar military hardware destroyed in this engagement.

This battle was a great personal victory as well. My last corporation in matari militia wouldn't accept me back into their ranks and because of that I joined LOCUS INDUSTRIES. Now I have show them that I am much stronger without them (and their laughable shield tanks). My new amarr brethern are a much more power force to be reconed with.
