Edited by: Scorpyn on 12/10/2010 21:45:14 I'm able to resize windows by moving the top of lots of windows (ship cargo, chat channels etc) below their bottom, causing them to break beyond repair (or so it seems).
Am I the only one? If not, anyone knows if it's the same in windows?
Running optional patch #3.

Edited by: Solbright on 13/10/2010 02:14:39 Agh! Why did I try that! :/ Don't do this at home!
Yeah, I'd say it's a current Eve bug.

shhhh guys don't tell CPP/wine about this...I don't want it fixed.
Its been "bug" for a long time, rather its a feature since it also works horizontally so you can collapse local such that theres nothing shown but the people like this saves space, easy to see whos in local and you don't have to see all the crap spewed in local during fllet fights. Please. Don't. Fix. My favorite linux/wine bug by far.

Cool! That's a nice feature!
But yes, this "bug" existed forever. I think it may have something to do with Wine not filtering inputs, while windows checks if window size makes sense.

Making a big assumption there. Behavior is likely just the same on Windoze. After all, DirectX games generally don't use the Windoze GUI, DirectX is sufficient by itself.

It does not occur within windows, never has to my knowledge but has 'worked' under wine for as long as i can remember.

I definitely remember Eve's windows having a minimum size limit in the past. Have to go back a while though. I doubt I'd be able to find a Wine version that still runs current Eve while providing the correct behavior.
I just popped around to a friends place and, yep, under Windoze it does have a minimum size. So, to me, this means Wine is influencing the game's own GUI logic. Which is impressive.
I do agree it is a convenient bug though. I'd been using it in a limited sense all along and hadn't realised it would let me go negative.
