CCP are banning account daily.
They do not discuss this.
Giving out information about internal investigations, statistics etc is all information that would be highly abused by the very people they are fighting.
"Unholy Rage" was something special and acted well as a PR stunt, but do not expect regular updates. --------------------------------------

Yes I can see how a simple weekly or monthly tally of accounts perma-banned would be of great use to macro-writers.
Wait, no I cant, because it wouldn't. I can only see how it would be an embarrassment to the GMs who evidently cannot remotely control the problem.

The market is the proof that there was no mass macro-banning for a long time.

CCP probably do ban macro ratters / miners but tbh the rate is probably so slow that for every macro ratter temp banned, another 50 are born.
Unholy rage just temp banned macro miners after a few weeks the macros returned

I remember the first days after Tyrannis, all the roids belts were empty and (bot?) exhumers were just hanging around outside the stations all day!
Four days later they were all back and mining again.

Temp bans are worthless. Honestly even permabans dont fix the problem, but they do at least increase the overhead.
The real solution is not to have PvE so ridiculously safe, easy and simple that a few hundred lines of code can do it better than a player can.
NPCs that are actually a challenge to fight, with numbers reduced by 90-95% to compensate (and rewards increased correspondingly). You know, so that missions and ratting and plexing are actually fun, rather than being 100% repeatable and completely solved.
Mining that actually takes human input to work.
(Dont even get me started on PI, which was apparently explicitly designed for macroing.)
But meanwhile, start banhammering. There's a non-trivial cost in training up an effective macro character, and repeatedly enforcing that cost will decrease the perceived utility of running macros.
