Edited by: Atock on 17/10/2010 15:46:05 Edited by: Atock on 17/10/2010 15:45:55 While I was scanning a Cl4 WH connected with our Cl5 WH I picked up a strange signature. It first looked like a normal wormhole with the signature group unknown, but the type just showed ???. My corp mates scanned it to 100% and I warped on it, but there was nothing there, just empty space. Heres a screenshot: http://img145.imageshack.us/img145/2803/20101017153358.jpg
I talked to some other WH corps and they also found these strange signatures... I think it probably has something to do with the sansha events or they are just a bug^^.

Hmm, Ive just had the same results on scanning a c4 system (armour bonus) The initial combat probe brought up 2 hits at 85-88% labelled as above, I thought I might of caught the dying end of a wh exit. This c4 also had a c5 static exit. Could be the same one if your in a harbinger :)

Edit: Seems someone else has this problem.

nope... i just scanned it out again 10 minutes ago... the signature is still there and i can still warp on it and theres nothing.... the interesting thing is that i got it on 100% with a 32 AU scan (and no, its not just a 100% anomaly, you actually have to scan it out, but it seems like ccp wants us to find that kind of signature)

Maybe it's a developing force of dark matter that will obliterate all WH POSes during the next expansion...

Possibly added framework for new content which shouldn't be visible yet or we don't have some type of scanner yet, which you use to scan out whatever is there?
In any case it's yet another mystery to the stuff that is w-space ___________

my guess is its remnant code from a test build connected with something that's coming up in the next expansion. A new spawn of some sort. Bookmark it and keep an eye on it, I say.

This is very interesting.
I also have seen this in our C4 wh but not ever in scanning in a our c2 or our c6. And if you look above at both people who list them they also are seeing these in their C4 worm holes.
How many other poeple who scan in C4's see these strange sigs?
And when did you start to them? (We just went into a C4 so our experience there is short)

LOL
CCP deserves its name (Crowd Control Productions). They made playerbase think that a bug is a hidden Sansha site/wormhole/whatever mysterious thing you can think of. Bugs are now officially cool

I still think CCP missed an opportunity when it had that super-bright 'North Star' awhile back. Bug or not, it was very cool. Now we got strange cosmic siggies... another opportunity is there.

First image. Second image.
You can see in the chat box other people saying the same thing. This was also not in a WH and I was thinking it was like some super duper 11/10 complex or something.

I am a lost bundle of dynamic node reinforcement promised for years; the ??? type signifies the clueless nature through which i proceed. Also, i am very appropriately stuck in W-space waiting for expansion #172 to finally come out. Ofcourse, i'm sure we will all be in real Chinese-made spaceships by then and they will be growing peaches in Iceland where all but the mountains will be deluged under 20 feet of sea water.

Nope, they haven't missed it. They've connected it with storyline and even published a chronicle about it. The connection was so good that even I doubt now that North Star was a bug
