I have a slightly damaged BC (Myrm) thats fully rigged in Rens. The station has NO REPAIR FACILITIES. Im -5.0 sec status, so if I try and undock it and take it to another station I'll be pinned down by NPC police and destroyed.
I cant put it on a contract to one of my alts cause its damaged.
I cant cut my losses with the rigs and repackage because it is damaged.
I have placed 3x 1600mm plates on it to see if I can 'repair it' as advised by some locals. Still cant as its still damaged.
So does this mean the only way to repair it would be to trash it? Im not fixing my sec status back up, just to move 1 ship. Is there another way?
Anyone else have this issue?

Yeah i throw all ships into my Orca, only limitation seems to be the size, however I edited my post to say just trade it with someone you trust, and get them to fly it out.

Orca it is then, 40 days training and 400 million isk, to save 10 million isk in rigs. And I not sure now if you put a damaged ship in an orca either xD

Check with an alt if there are any NPC outside station. If not, undock and fly to a station with repair. It's the global that causes spawning, not the -5 .

Nano it up and junior birdman it the hell out of there! Worse case you lose the ship which is what would have happened anyway. May grab an insta undock bookmark and know where you're heading first but you should have enough time to flee I think.
Can you not trade damaged stuff? Thought that was just can't contract damaged stuff but I've rarely been in the situation to have to worry about it.

I'm 99% certain you can trade a damaged ship; at least you can trade a ship that has a damaged module; while you can't contract it.

You can direct trade ships with damaged parts.
Courier contracts are great ;) You'll need a freighter pilot to move your ship, so set a decent reward and ensure the destination station has repair facilities :)
Alternatively if you don't want any work, just consider it dead for now, in 6 months your circumstances (or game mechanics) may have changed.
I suppose this must be my sig. I'll do something cool with it eventually. |

He stated that he couldn't contract it to an alt because it's damaged.

There is a difference between contracting something and trading it. I thought you couldn't contract something that was damaged but you could trade.

You could just undock and have someone with an orca sitting outside station, eject and have your friend scoop it.

For the avoidance of all doubt: direct trade is where both players are docked in the same station. One then right-clicks on the other's name in the station guest list and selects 'trade'. No broker fee is required, and there are no restrictions on items than can be traded this way. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |
