The lure of low sec PI is good but constant gatecamping can outweigh the risk. Bombs are usefull for breaking up gatecamps in 0.0. Why not allow players to use them in low-sec? CCP seems to encourage more PVP action but unless your just out for other players theres not much reaason for carebearing players to cross the low-sec line. Give us high sec players a chance and put some pirates on the defense by allowing bombs and such in low sec-or at least something else. It could make low-sec a much more volititle place at the gatecamps and give high seckers a reason to go on the offense.

Alternatively, you could learn how to avoid the gate camps (F10) and maybe fit a cloak as well. There are already viable solutions to the gate camp 'problems' that plague players in low sec. Just because *you* don't know how to bypass/defeat them doesn't mean they are invincible.

Or plan your route and use a scout...
I solo Lo sec all the time for PVE and exploration it isn't hard. wait if your using a stealth bomber why break the camp your already through?
And another thing your gonna get instapoped by the guns anyway and people don't usually camp lo in frigs cause they explode.
There are enough holes in this to shoot a bomb through.

How would bombs help? You bomber is stuck after jumping. You gonna durka durka jihad it and suicide bomb it?
What are you gonna kill....pirates tank hard core for the guns. Disco ball bs....will live a solo bomb strike. tanked bc's will laugh at you. Cruisers will be at optimals away from gate and out of your bomb radius most likely or can warp off fast enough. Also need 5 bombers to be insta kill at least. Got 5 people to run sb ops...you probably got the fleet to just fight the gate campers.
Also with the bombs....you drew first blood, means concord has you as the pirate. I'll be nice, your mad bomber kills 10 gate campers one shot. Now I will be mean...they weren't outlaw, make them noob pirates, the smell of lv 3 agent still hanging over them. Might even be +5 sec status and they just woke up that day saying....screw it, I wanna go yarrrrr for giggles and grins .
big sec hit for you. A few pi ops and your bomber is banned from empire (or is stuck playing hide and seek from the pirates ratting to fix it). KNow if I was pirate...you bomb me alot, I'd come looking for you. With your now banned in empire status...no sneaking off to empire now.
Transports....ccp made them for a reason. JF's...organized corp doing anything in low/null should have one. Its why ccp made them. Flown right and you **** off pirates. Flown wrong and you make a 's day.

Fix low sec by removing the sec penalty. if +sec players could shoot -sec players, with out a sec penalty, low sec would be a lot more fun and likely more populated.
As it stands now, if you want to live and PVP with the advantage of fist shot in low sec, you'll eventually need to drink the alt kool-aide. CCP won't fix low sec or the sec status scheme, it encourages additional accounts. It's just as obvious as the cyno scheme, and certainly not as bad as micro-transactions, but it's not far off.

If you shoot something that shoots back the sec status penalty is very small as you only get the aggression penalty, not the ship kill. The sec status penalty otoh could use taking target sec status in account, and not only system sec, taking the same sec hit for podding a guy that is -4.8 than for podding a fresh noob is a bit odd.
PvPing a lot in lowsec and staying over -2 is really easy, don't pod, don't gank (too many) harmless haulers... Also don't blob as it's unlikely someone will shot back at both you and your 15 buddies.

Next you want bubbles in low sec to? Oh wait that would make gatecamps a real pain in the ass as they are in 0.0. Also interceptor tackle in low sec won't help much, gate guns eat interceptors very fast. So you need a sensor boosted ship to hell (and still tanked) to catch something agile or cloaky on a gate in low sec. ---------------------------------- None of yet! |

Hunh? People gatecamp lowsec still? I havent seen a camp in forever. Its not like you can use bubbles and gateguns will kill tacklers. I dont get it... ------------------------ Peace through superior firepower: a guiding principle for uncertain times. |
