Edited by: Waljacov on 29/10/2010 15:52:33 Hi, I want to know, if EVE is playable on an Intel ATOM powered Nettop-PC, such as the Shuttle XS35GT?
Quote: Technical Data:
- Processor: Intel Atom D510, Dual Core (1,66 GHz, 1 MByte L2-Cache)
- Chipsatz: Intel NM10 Express Chipsatz
- Grafik: nVidia ION2, 512 MByte DDR3
[*]Memory: 2 GByte DDR2-667
I dont want to do hardcore fleetfights, just some mining and market operations. Anyone of you got some experience with this?

dont listen to that fool below you, it works on medium settings... i have a packard bell nettop with the same stats... its working on medium settings, if you run your client on low you would have atleast 40-50 fps!

On a 10-12" screen?
What's it like playing EVE through a letterbox when your overview takes up 1/2 your screen?
Here is a pretty thorough Ion2 review with benchmarks.
My laptop has the ****ty GF 9500M GS and scores: 26005 in 3dMark2001, 13280 in 3dMark2003, 6891 in 3dMark2005 and 4044 in 3dMark2006.
The ION2 scores 6882, 6569, 3098 and 1963 points respectively, making it considerable ****ter than my already **** 9500M GS.
Hence, I stand by my previous statement.

My atom netbook is good for empire hauling and chatting to my alliance. You can't use it for much else.

Does such a nettop run EVE on an external monitor with enough FPS to mine asteroids? I came, I saw and I didn't trust my eyes. |

I've got a Zotac IONITX-A-E (Atom330 with Ion-chipset) and 2GB of RAM installed to it.
I can run EvE fine on 1280x1024 with low-details, even in a fleet-battle.
