Edited by: Ak''athra J''ador on 01/11/2010 12:33:51 Some of us play games in windowed mode cause we like doing other crap while we game. Check stuff on the internet or whatever.
The game still needs to be full screen, that is why, on a lot of clients today, you see an option, windowed + fullscreen.
This should literally take one trainee a few minutes to implement. let me rephrase that...pretty please?
edit: let me rephrase that if it was not clear, the client is windowed, but is resized to look like full screen.

This is already possible through several third party programs with limited resources. Evemon being the most obvious one.
Originally by: CCP Oveur The client handles no logic, it is simply a dumb terminal.
Our problems are server-side.

Point being? that I need third party programs for something the client should be able to do?

Actually (unless they've changed something i don't know about) this isn't the case.
It will be "full screen" but in the sense that any other window will be full screened such as your web browser. With the bar at the top.
Also, this new "feature" breaks evemons window moving functionality. So they've just gone and ****ed us in the ass again. ------

it hasnt changed yet on test.. and i mighty ****ed about the change too. atm i use eve window mover (or something similar program) to have eve in full screene on both of my screenes and open on the right screene when i open the client.
the new "stuff" they are adding, i dont like becuase i lose resolution if i play windowed.... ---------------------------------- Fighting for something

It was on sisi, but it's not at the moment due to patch testing/mass tests. And jesus christ it's like, 60 pixels. _____________________________________ Haruhiist since December 2008

You really shouldn't whine about a feature that hasn't even been released yet. Nothing on the test server is final or complete.

KDE desktop environment will allow the client to do what you just asked.

What is windowed + full screen? Does that mean you can run it in full screen on a second monitor?

It means it is windowed, but moved so that it appears to be full screen. The added bonus is you can easily alt tab to another program. Or move to the next monitor and do things there while steel keeping the client operational.
