Hello, I am going to organize weekly mining operations supported by an Orca (I will pilot the Orca). The ops will be open to everybody interested, you have to subscribe to the "Minnie Miners" mailing list to know the exact time and location, or you can convo me.
HI-SEC ONLY
Miners will be rewarded for each can they fill. As soon as the Orca beams a full can, the miner will be transfered the money (amount varying according to minerals market price, but around 50-60 isk/m3).
HI-SEC ONLY
On top of having somebody hauling, refining and selling the minerals for you, you will get a nice boost (approx. +20% yield) and drones protection vs rats (so you can use mining drones). If pirates or hostile players come in we leg it.
IMPORTANT: all ops will happen between 20:00 and 22:00 EVE time and in Metropolis hi-sec sectors. If you can't play at that time or if you are far from Metropolis you better not sign up.
Sav
P.S. in the case it was not clear .... HI SEC ONLY!

BUMP!
The next mining op will be Tuesday, November 9th at 20:00 EVE time. Miners will be paid 63 isk/m3, hence a full can will be worth 1.732.500 isk, paid as soon as the can is hauled.

63 ISK per m3. Am I reading that right? A fully boosted Hulk with a 3% implant will mine ~1850m3 per cycle. So you are offering me 116,550 ISK per cycle? Wow... That is terrible. Hisec ISK/cycle for a boosted Hulk is 325,000 ISK for lowest value ore. You think no one would notice you are only giving people 50% of their ore's value?
This is a complete scam. -----------------------------------

If you are mining in Metropolis you should consider hopping down to Frerstorn in low sec and mine there with your crew. I got good buy orders up for minerals that aren't being filled.
I need minerals to fuel the faction warfare pilots needs!

This is a complete scam.
Before calling people scammer you should imrpove your arithmentics. Go to this site: http://eve.grismar.net/ore/ it will help you to calculate the value of a m3 of ore. Current mineral prices in Hek are: Tritanium 2.1 Pyerite 3.6 Mexallon 28 Isogen 60 This means that scordite and veldspar are worth exactly 63 isk/m3, which is what I pay. I earn money only on plagioclase and I lose money on Omber (which is worth 58 isk/m3). Can you state the mat that you used to get to your numbers?

Just to be sure I double checked the prices of ore in Hek: Veldspar is bought at 58 isk/m3 Scordite is bought at 54,7 isk/m3 Plagioclase is bought at 77 isk/m3
Jow Smash, you clearly got lost somewhere when calculating how many m3 you make per cycle. But no worry, many people manage to be happy even ignoring the basics of math.

Well, I thought it was a good idea as well, but apparently we are very few to think that. In the first week after this post only 3 people signed up to the mailing list and nobody showed up at the mining ops, hence I decided to cancel the mailing list.
Still, I mine regularly in Minmatar hi sec and I do own an Orca, so if you wish to join me drop me a mail in game.

If you got 3 people there, thats a start. Keep at it and it will start growing over time. They didint build Rome in day :P
Its same thing if you would be building a corporation, it takes some time...
Most miners probably are all ready in corporations they get those same benefits, so your operations probably attracts those that dont to mining ops regularly otherwise. Or have corporation suport for minign, etc...
I can fly a hulk, was little suspicious about this. so i waited to see if it even takes some air under its wings. After all dont want to take that expensive ship into ambush

Nice Idea, but how do you prevent ne'er-do-wells from joining your fleet and poppin' your buds?
This is actually an interesting way to use your Orca training.

Mayeb you are right, it just takes some time. On top in the past days I have been contacted by some people interested in joining. Hence I have decided to give it another try:
NEW START! OPEN MINING OP, FRIDAY DECEMBER 3rd The Minnie Miners mailing list is open once again. To know the exact time and location sign up there.
Miners will be paid 55 isk/m3 as soon as their can is hauled. Orca will haul and give a nice boost (about +20%)

This is a good warning. I believe that a safe procedure is:
- I invite people in fleet only after they show up in a mining ship and prove they have mining lasers equipped (so I won't invite anybody in a Hurricane or such, just Osprey, Scythe and mining barges/exhumers)
- I will have my PvP alt in fleet, in a T2 cane, just in case somebody decides to have a gun fitted in his Scythe and use it to pop people
If they decide to fight a cane with a mining fitted Scythe, well, we will have fun :-)

Pretty sure you earn a CONCORDOKKEN for trying to pop a fleet member in high sec.

Although this is a decent start for security, it will require a fair amount of micromanagement, or someone can sign up, warp off when "no one is looking" and come back in a gank-fit ship for a little out-of-season hulkageddon.
But I do applaud the concept, and wish you all the best with it. Just playing devil's advocate to help tune security as much as possible.

No, you can shoot freely fleet members, even in hi sec, and CONCORD won't come.
Now, what I do not know is, what happens if a rogue starts shooting a fleet member and I kick him immediately from the fleet? will he be able to continue shooting without triggering CONCORD?

Confirmed. You can shoot Fleetmember. Concord wont Act.
You have to accept this Rule everytime you join a Fleet (i would suggest you read the Popups before accepting!)

Again, I'm going to have to ask you: Are you sure about this?
Straight from the Evelopedia:
Originally by: Evelopedia Fleet aggression
If player A and player B are in two corporations that are at war, and both are in the same fleet, they may freely attack each other at any time, as they could when not in the fleet. However, this does NOT allow other players in the fleet to attack either player, unless these players' corps are ALSO at war.
Cargo containers and wrecks are considered valid property just like drones and ships. If you damage a container/wreck, you are initiating aggression on its owner and should be ready for a security hit and Concord intervention. This is also true if you attack a fleet member's cargo container or wreck. Being in a fleet does not allow you to destroy his container/wreck or his ship.
To spell it out even more clearly:
Originally by: Evelopdedia
Basic rundown of actions that will/won't trigger a CONCORD response
This is a list of targets that you can shoot without getting a CONCORD response in high-sec (0.5+ security rating systems).
* Attacking another player that is in your player corporation. * Attacking the property (wrecks etc) of another player in your player corporation. * Attacking a war target. * Attacking a player that is flashy red in your overview (if you are using the default overview settings) * Attacking a member of the opposing militia if you are part of Factional Warfare
The actions below however WILL trigger a CONCORD response and loss of security status;
* Attacking a fleet member that does not meet the requirements above. * Attacking the property of a fleet member that does not meet the requirements above (this includes wrecks, deployed containers, anything he/she owns in space) * Attacking friendly militia members (players in the same militia as you) * Attacking any neutral player, i.e. not at war with your corporation or alliance, doesn't have aggression against you / isn't flashy red and is not in your player corporation. * Assisting (f.ex. with remote repairers) an outlaw (a player with -5 security rating or less) * Assisting (f.ex. with remote repairers) a player who commits a crime which gives him a Global Criminal Cooldown (such as attacking a neutral player). * Attacking CONCORD ships or sentry guns or any of their assets (including stargates) * Jumping into a CONCORD controlled system with a security rating that would normally trigger the Faction Navy to attack you. You can see a rundown of the Security Restrictions for Empire Space here security status

I will also confirm this. Had a T1 frig tourney in high sec once and a buddy from another corp joined us. Concord killed him right as he started his first bout.
So don't worry about this and good luck with your venture. Seems like a good idea if you can get enough people involved. I would pay them about 20% less than their mins are worth because (as you said) they are getting a +20% bonus for fleeting with you AND they are getting paid instantly and don't have to haul their minerals. My mining rate is reduced by about 20% if I have to haul my own minerals or if I am ninja-mining... so even earning 20% less than the minerals are worth I'd be making about 20% more than I would solo.
Now... how to communicate this to noob miners in such a way that they will understand the benefits of mining with you... I can't help you there.
