T3 capitals would be nice. Oh wait... we don't even have T2 capitals yet... Would lead to such an epic whinefest for sure on the forums...

Capital miningship (no not the rorq or the orca, i mean a capital ship that can fit capital miningbeamzzzzzz!!!
Shame it would prolly only be used by big 0.0 alliances though
or mebbe a T3 barge, u will need to swap out the subsystems to mine another type of ore effectively. ________________________________________________

No more t3 ships, please. Imba and fun are mutually exclusive for me. If you can't make one of the current ships in New Eden work for you, you're doing it wrong.
A tier one destroyer would be nice (as opposed to the tier zero ones we're stuck with.)

What Eve is really missing is T3 super carriers that can deploy 90 or so fighter bombers and can jump 4X as far on 1/4 the fuel, and 3X the hitpoints of the crappy T1 SC with T3 resists.

tbh, i don't see what t3 frigs would add to the game that you don't already have with inty's or af's or whatever
i'd prefer to see t3 haulers or miners or bs's first, because at least there's plenty of room to customize a hauler or miner without running into a role that's already filled by some other ship type
or t3 bc's would be fine too. basically anything but t3 frigs

So, a battleship? The problem is that the thing that keeps people from using battleships is still aroundà until the patch. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

While I responded with "T3 Carriers" above, I am starting to think that T3 frigates are just as good of an option.
Why? Because flying frigates can be hella fun in both group and solo excursions. Frigates are also the entry point for the fresh meat, erm, newer players and giving those guys and gals some tasty treats relatively early on in their EVE career may help push their game involvement and, ultimately, their subscriptions past the current six months(*) or so of average character longevity.
Additionally, some folks *do* want to stick with frigates as a play-style and giving them an alternative to the existing T2 / faction hulls is a potentially great long-term scenario.
(*) - read that statistic somewhere; please correct me if I am off-base with the time value.

I would think T3 Battleship, but that would be hard to do without making an overwhelming powerhouse of a ship. Just like Capitals, eventually, they would be EVERYWHERE, rendering their T1 and T2 counterparts somewhat useless. I used to see Caracals everywhere. Now all I see is Tengus.
At least a T3 battleship would not be easily gankable like the T3 cruiser though.

I would vote for T3 Titans. One subsystem could be the "Worn piston rings, rusted out catalytic converter, and broken tailpipe" subsystem. It would emit a large bluish noxious cloud continuously around the ship. All ships and fighters caught in the cloud will suffer nausea and headaches, and watering eyes. You could also have the "lol made you jump" subsystem, where upon firing the DD, a large flag pops out that says "BANG!". There would be one subsystem, just for the enjoyment of the Titan alt that is sadly permanently attached to his titan. When activated, it would continuously make the awesome sound of a 4 engine bomber from WW2. For added enjoyment, it would make the squealing tires sound when accelerating. The pilot could also add a module that would make various funny car horn sounds, like the "Dixie" horn from Dukes of Hazzard, or "La Cucaracha" by swapping scripts into the module.

I wish there was a T3 Interdictor that can not only created a warp disrupted bubble but also a stasis web bubble (IE: Time distortion [NOT LAG]) which would look like a WH entrance.
The downside to this; The hull of the ship would be a similar size of a carrier but with restricted resist of a carrier (maybe 25%-50% of normal.) Also, With the increased mass of the ship the rotation time and moving of the ship into position with its decreased warp speed (0.5 AU) would be a hassle.
The fuel cost for module would be 100-strontium for every 120 sec cycle. TIME WARP Specialist would decrease the amount by 10-units every level. Cap use during cycle would be 1.21 gigawatts every 10 secs.

What are the Incursion Sansha ships being classified as? They are more sophisticated than T3 IMO. In fact, they make T3 look like children's toys.

cov ops + interdiction nullifier subsystem on frigate size. would be a tech3 shuttle in a sense. something for easy move, but way better quality, but also way more expensive. interceptor can be used as tech2 shuttle i want my tech3 shuttle, able to survive nullsec blockade, but which don't cost 400m something around 100m (hull+sub) would be good. just make combat susbsystem at the level of a dramiel or so and it would be okay for price / power ---------------- ** Wormhole Trading ** |

Edited by: Riggs Droput on 09/11/2010 19:24:52 T3 BS or T3 BC ,frigs would be to expensive to fly considering dramiels cost 100m a T3 would be close to 200m (best guess) and that is alot just to fly a frig around that could be insta alpha'd.
T3 BS's could be interesting since if done right you could change the bonus's around allot extra RR extra DPS, perhaps have a module that would allow you to break the 5 drone barrier on non capitals(if you had the skills) allow you to have all the different options of the marauders and black ops just donÆt allow every thing on one ship. The balance would have to be tweaked because I could see some extremely over powered setups I would suggest a downside to each module. More tank = less damage more damage = less resist stuff like that. You would end up with some really pricy ships that could be more like a trophy then practical.
T3 BC's would fill a niche roll. It is the one size of ship that only has combat rolls primarily. If you were able to specialize it with T3 modules you could have some really creative setups. Covert OP's BC, maybe Black ops BC, RR BC's.
I am sure CCP will surprise us down the line and give us another T3 type to fly. Currently my T3 sits in my hanger gathering dust other then the occasional OP.

I just don't see any more T3 ships showing up at any point.
The T3 cruiser fills very specific roles, and does them with near BS tank/gank at quadruple T2 BS prices. A T3 BS, by extrapolation, would be what, exactly? It would certainly be hugely expensive, probably near the 4B mark for a decent fit, so you would see it in fleet action about just as often as you see current T3s, aka almost never.
Don't get me wrong, I love my T3. But that would just be a big "primary me" flag.

...
Actually, that's not true. There have been quite a few Strategic Cruiser hulls flown and lost in the South over the past couple of months. Ze killboards tell the tale.
T3 Cruisers are used increasingly in command roles as well as in general fleet slots. They are not inexpensive ships, by any stretch of the imagination. But T3 hulls give the potential for Command Ship-level (or better) tanks, cruiser-level mobility and Heavy Assault Ship (or greater) damage. Several groups are using those qualities in conjunction with pro-logistics to fight the good fight.
Hopefully, the 2010 Q3 and Q4 QEN publications have some specific numbers to prove / disprove those subjective observations.
