Edited by: Augustus Ogana on 09/11/2010 04:16:24 Simply put: As an explorer, wormholes are my biggest time sink. They are completely worthless to me. If I ever care about them in the future, I'd happily be forced to counteract the medium-term benefits of (e.g.):
Skill: Astrometric Pragmatism: You gain the INABILITY to detect wormholes. Your probe scan time increases by 0.5 seconds while you apply additional alogrithms to weed-out these pesky, problematic, entirely-too-numerous spatial phenomena which have absolutely no value to you whatsoever. 0.3 of these seconds are spent running computer functions, the other 0.2 seconds are spent asking yourself why it's so hard to ignore knowing things you never wanted to know.
Seriously, I'm f@#%ing tired of spending an hour tracking down 3 signatures in a single system and having them all be wormholes.
Continued suggestion: Each rank should decrease the scan time penalty so that you eventually (at Astrometric Pragmastism 5) don't lose any time. Continued further...
Skill: Astrometric Foolhardiness: You begin to unlearn the skill, Astrometric Pragmatism, which once saved you so much money and spared you so much risk. You can now detect wormholes, but your scan probe time is increased by 0.5 seconds. (each rank decreases this until the penalty is gone.)
By the way, did I happen to mention that wormholes are f#$%^ing littering my job and I wish I could identify, ignore, or otherwise dispense with them without wasting so much f%^&ing time? :)

Just to let you know, even though you probing wh's out is useless for you, its does increase the spawn rate inside wh's, so you are opening more doors for other people. Also, if it is taking you an hour to shell out 3 sigs, you need to rethink your probe geometry, it takes me less than an hour to scan out a hole with over 40 cosmic signatures it in (and most of that time is finding oddly placed ones)

Forums should have breathalizers, then I'd post dumb complaints like this less often

It doesn't really take you an hour for three signatures, does it?

and on wh's which are by far the easyest to scan out. i can get a wh on combat probes at about 4 au without much problem.

you call yourself an explorer but you dont explore wh's which is the forefront of exploration in eve today. boldly going into the unknown for wealth and knowlage. to me thats exploration not sitting in a system scanning out relatively easy sites by comparison
