as title says, i'd like to whine about why people can jump through wh's with agro or being scrambled. Even in 0.0, you can't jump with agro. Caps can't jump if they're scrambled. Why do the wh ppl get a free pass?

because CCP know you failed to get a bubble on the other side You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

Because you don't know how to jump through, wait out their 30 second cloak, and then point them on the other side?
Or copy their double-jump and laugh at them on the original side?
Just sounds like the OP needs to learn how to do combat around wormholes.

it was 1v7 and I didn't have a probe launcher fitted... I'd rather not be trapped in a wh.

Also to answer the question in the title, scrams have never stoped people from jumping, and gates/stations are staffed by people who refuse docking, wormhole just a hole.
I guess CCP wanted to stop gate fights in wormholes, gate camps are there number one complaint about people going to dangerous space. Every time I talk to a Carebear they think every 0.4 is camped by 20 people. It is kind of funny when I show them the kill stats and which gates are clear.
Anyway I guess they did it to make camping harder but make it easier to restrict access with bubbles so to evade is easy to enter is hard. And with the hole gate could go at any moment thing means splitting up is hard.
I like there aproach and honestly never thought about it till now. It's interesting, also gotta be annoying to people who want kills.

I meant for caps that are scrambled, can't cyno-jump out.
I understand the logic behind it, i'm just miffed that CCP seems to put consequences for actions, yet they've turned a blind eye to wh's. I don't even mind if they run back to the wh to escape, as long as they haven't agro'd. I just think it's silly that they can fire at you and run away with impunity.

Because there are no people inside wormholes granting starships clearance to use them. Stargates are essentially airports on a larger scale, wormholes are just wormholes.

This.
Also because thats the way the game mechanics are, primarily to add variety.
Finally, lets not think about how those planetary transporters got to be on every planet in J space. ~_~

+1, OP sounds like hes crying because he lost what he was shooting at, also agree with double jumping with them, nothing like trapping someone with you for 3 and a half minutes while they wait for there drives to polarize or whatever that message is You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

Actually its not a free pass.
Pilot "A" jumps thru WH. Pilot "B" scrambles "A" on the other side Pilot "A" ****s pants and jumps back through Pilot "B" chuckles...follows...scrambles and kills pilot "A" due to "A" now having double jump timer.
WH jump/decloak range varies like 1-4000m. Thirty second jump timer...then long ass death timer if 2 jumps thru same hole. Aggro has no bearing on this.
Standard gate in what I now enjoy calling noob space (or N-space ) jump decloak range is 15km. How many times have you watched an inty/Vaga/whatever wait out cloak and burn back to gate under fire and repeat ad nasuem until it either gets away or the camp on both sides stops sucking and kills it . Standard gate also gives one aggro timer for a minute preventing jump....hence the years of "lol red box jump in and gank haha"
This informative post brought to you by Bone.
p.s. Have an added bonus mechanic that I was recently introduced to by c0my1..if you scramble a target on a jump bridge....it not only cannot warp...it can't jump either.

You want an answer?
Umm, jumpgates are controlled by men. They don't trust you because you were aggressing someone so they make you cool down..
WH are in nature.

He means when you jump through a hole, you end up anywhere between 1-4000m away from the hole, with the exception of after downtimes which seems to **** you up at all ranges You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

If somebody shoots you on the WH side and jumps to Hisec, do you have an agression countdown on them in hisec aswell?
Just making sure.

This isn't about an RP reason for it, i'm asking why every other method has some sort of consequence/risk, while WH's do not. Also, as I said earlier, it was 1v7 and I had no probe launcher. Jumping back and forth a million times was not an option, nor would it be advisable to do attempt such nonsense.

WHs are meant to be the ultimate in lawlessness.
Thats why.

Hmm so for the sake of having consequences we should ignore logic? WH's are unknown and unmanned, to suddenly not be able to cross a hole created by nature would need to have a RP reason otherwise ppl will be making threads about "why can't I jump thru a natural unmanned portal after I shoot, makes no logical sense"

The guys on the inside weren't doing it right,In your case. They should have been cloaked waiting for you to sheepishly warp off the wh and watched what planet you warped off to.
Also what the other guy said. Wh's are a freak of nature.Deal with it.
