So, I'm back on the five day free return thing CCP hands out roughly once every four months. I havn't played the game dedicatedly since January when a general Alliance fiasco turned me off to this game. I flirted with the idea of coming back in July, but it just never happened. However, now I'm bored with all my other games, burnt out on WoW and with nothing to really do aside from NROTC training and college, I'm seriously considering picking up EVE again. I'd like a little more incentive than just my boredom to return to the game though.
On that note, I'd like to know if anyone can give me any decent reasons to return? New content, corporation or alliance propositions, larger community, balancing issues fixed, etc, etc.
Thanks, I await your responses with an eager eye. -------------------------------------------------------------- They call me crazy. I'm not one to argue. |

If you fundamentally enjoy the game then yes, you should come back. Regardless of what happened with your previous alliance, so long as you like the game you shouldnt let that stop you from playing.
Join a new Corp and try something new - fw, wh, 0.0, there is much fun to be had here.
Good luck and, hopefully, welcome back :) .

Should you come back?
Do you enjoy the game enough to pay to play it?
Answer the second question, and you'll have the answer to the first. --Vel

Correct me if I wrong, but do you ask US what YOU SHOULD do? Like, if you ask 100 ppl, should you jump off the cliffs, and they tell you "yes", will you jump? Don't you have own opinion on this matter? -- Thanks CCP for cu |

I'm not viewing this as some mandate, and I must not play if people say no, or vice versa. I just value the community's opinion and was hoping there would be some new content to make the game feel fresh on return. Or perhaps some major changes in null sec. I've been seriously out of the loop. -------------------------------------------------------------- They call me crazy. I'm not one to argue. |

Wel there hasn't been changed that much. The reasons that you liked EVE are still there, the reasons that you didn't as well. Perhaps you can elaborate on what was the precise reason you left, perhaps we can inform you about the current state of affairs?

The reason I left was I was falsely accused of being a spy, had a bunch of my property stolen, was thrown out of the alliance, and then podded twice. Shortly thereafter the alliance I had been with began losing the fight to hold their area in 0.0 and now they no longer exist.
Currently, I'm in Caldari high sec, trying to remember how the **** I got there to begin with, with very little money in my pocket, and a poorly fitted manticore.

There aren't many content changes that you are unaware of.
The plain and simple truth behind what makes this game fun is the people you associate with ingame. Obviously if you're having issues with your alliance, you should either try to work it out if you like those people, or find a new group.
I HATED my former alliance with a passion. There were cliques within cliques who were super elitist. I hated flying with these guys and often thought about becoming a spy for the enemy just to spite them (there was a couple that I liked, but overall I hated them). I hated logging in and often went inactive for weeks.
So I found a new group. An alliance of pirates who just happen to have the same mentality that I do. I can easily finish their sentences and they can do the same for mine. Now I love playing. __________________________________________________

Now there's a good testimonial to the decision making skills of an NROTC trained, college educated person.
*Should I play this game?*

Eve = game
Game = Fun.
It's your job to capitalize (see what I did there).
Therefore if you aren't having fun, try something else. Don't stick it out, move on, it isn't life here, there are no stds, fleet around, have fun.
Welcome back, oh I lied, there is one std, its called Eve. It prevents you from liking other mmos for any period of time.

Eve is a space combat/economic simulator that some people consider a game. For other people it is their life and/or addiction.

EVE is fun.
But not fun in the same way a chat with friends or a game of soccer/football is fun.
Fun like running a succesful business, having your dream job and fulfilling your dreams is fun. ___________
