Because some of us suck at trying to recreate old faces. It just takes more time and perhaps a keen eye. You really need to pay attention to every nook and cranny. The smallest change can make a big difference in the overall expression. And as the current creator is far from being final, I wouldn't give up just yet. Here's one of my favorite Brutor female render before I found the "extreme" textures res and antialiasing options of the current build, hoping to redo her again. Which is not as easy even when you have a clear reference that's made using the new creator. There are so many little things you can tweak even at this early stage. Brutor female

But actually, I just tried a whole new approach - try and log in with an OLD account I still am getting eve-newsletters for. It's no longer a paying account but lo and behold, I could log in to the test server! xD Character creator is reaaaaally sloppy though Basically every race looks the same / has the same options, half of which don't yet work... but that's why it's a test server I guess ============ Om niet verdacht te lijken liet hij overal zijn DNA achter ============

With the high cheekbones coupled with the chosen hair (unfortunate combination?) he looks a bit like the character from the "Planet of the Apes" and not the human kind He's quite mellow in the picture, perhaps because almost every other facial expression expressed sadness... A reasonably manly version of the "girly" bloodline of a Gallente male And lastly my favorite bloodline atm which happens to be what my main is i.e. Intaki male. With the first prototype I was only able to pull a long faced version, but with this second (third?) iteration of the prototype I'm able to sculpt him as I would have wanted to do with the original Eve launch version of the character creator. Another one from a different day of trying it out. Roll on with a new patch with visible females. -------------------------------------------------

Make walking in stations like Nethack (great game btw). You know, Incarna will bring lots more players for you to shoot at. And you know that you don't have to use the new feature. You can also you use the random character generator to create a lookalike monkeyface if you don't care about your appearance. And yes some developer attention has gone into Incarna which is not used for "other things". I happen to think it's the singlemost omission of MMO that is EVE, you are forced to live in a cocoon. And you're suppose to be this immortal demigod, and yet you're imprisoned in your pod. That does not sync with the fiction background of EVE. We're a not AI living in the ships computer. Why so peeved, it's an addittion. More variety is good. -------------------------------------------------
