Edited by: Zendoren on 14/11/2010 04:22:07 I see that you have regrouped the ships according to class, now that the update to the database was a success.
Personally, I like the change as it gives a little more order and structure to the market.
However, I have one small request. Please extend the same structure to the blueprints for the ships as well.
Also, I have always wondered why T2/advance Ship BPO categories existed on the market. If you could, please remove these T2 ship BPO market items while you are restructuring the ship BPO section.
These blueprints lead new players to believe that T2 ship BPOs are wide spread and can be obtained like normal T1 BPOs on the market. As most players know, if a T2 BPO goes on sale it will be via the contract system or the EVE-O "Sales Orders" section.
Please and Thank You! Zen

The Blueprint Market has needed an overhaul & reorganization for a long time now, but with the new inventory system, I think we'll see some improvements to Blueprints in the near future. According to one of the devs, there's now more-than-adequate space in the inventory system to, at the very least, give BPC's their own icon (although that likely won't happen in this expansion).
Could you imagine though, improvements to the inventory system to allow for identical BPC's to stack with each other? A new market system that could allow us to search for BPO's or BPC's based on various search criteria? Although it'll likely be a while before we see anything like this, at least the database finally has the capacity to actually make such dreams a reality. --- If you've read something I posted and want to contact me, EVE-Mail me, or contact me via EVE Gate. |

This largely comes from the markets 'other role' as a type browser which is not ideal. There is equal call for all publicly available blueprints to be there despite them never actually being sold on the market for this purpose and of course you can filter to show available as needed.
The emphasis now is that stuff you can trade with the exception of stuff which is singleton (like blueprints), should also be on the market as well so yes we will get round to adding the other faction items as well at some point.

wait... then why not remove the T2 BPOs, and make a blueprint browser? Maybe it could have links to the market/contracts search, and have a listing of how many you own, and a link to your assets window.
The market should be for the market, you don't need an item browser for ships and such, but manufactoring should maybe have it's own browser, it's a complicated beast.

You could actually implement a separate item browser, it would be nice. With all the faction and officer and EVERYTHING stuff. Then the market could be used for what it is.

I see your point here. however, I have to agree with the other posters here when they call for a in-game item browser. The market is meant for buying and selling and not as a item browser IMHO. Personally, I use a 3rd party app for finding items. (Evemon & EVE Fitting Tool)
If you guys decide not to make a separate item browser (would make a nice addition to the peoples and places window if you did IMHO) I would suggest that you go through with a fine tooth comb and add every single item in the game to the market. (even officer mods) As it stands, if we consider the market as an item browser right now, we would have to say that it is unfinished as it is missing a lot of mods that can only be obtained on contracts and else where.

Edited by: Lord Evangelian on 15/11/2010 22:52:53 Personally, I think this is the best thing since sliced bread and wonder why you didin't think of this before. Escrow was a bad idea. COntracts better, but they should be optional.
Sorry in reflection this is slightly off topic!
Your next initiative, similar to need for speed should be, EVE Freedom.
I want to look at the old Guardian vexors on the market, let me do it even if I cannot buy one becuase they do not exist anymore. It would be good to have it but say that it is obsolete, or discontinued.
You should also use this new 64bit item stuffz to make it possible to make a link in corpchat to my specific ship. H.M.S Obsidion II with stats acording my skills.
Or look at Items on the market with a check button that calculates what my stats would be, for example what the speed would be with/without my skills.
This game is so awsome, but some of that old fashioned EVE online Intuitiveness requiers more freedom.
