Keep in mind that the FotM is going to be different by the time you get to the sexy stuff. When I started, I wanted to play with drones, hence I went gallente. If I were doing it over, I'd probably try minmatar, just to eventually fly a typhoon (probably the hardest bs to train for with three weapon systems: missiles, projectiles, and drones).

need a little more information on what you intend to do in EvE tbh.
If you are planning to PvE - then go Caldari, they have been the premier PvE race since the begining. They have decent pvp ships too for large gang and in small gangs you can always be ECM support or drake.
If you are planning to Solo - then Minmatar are the best, they have fast ships, good skirmish stuff. But as the fleet gets larger, their relivance drops accordingly.
If you want to start training for the next FOTM, train Gallente. They used to be the premier PvP race before the web changes and the boost to both scortch and projectiles made them slightly weaker. They still have good ships and I suspect afte hybrids are buffed peopl will go back to flying them again. They also have the Tanaris, arguably the best interceptor, a good place to learn to use blasters.
And if you are planning to go to 0.0 and field larger ships and capitals - go Amarr. They get better and better as the fleet grows. While they are also strong in smaller gangs due to fantastic blend of dps and ange - they do not do so well in solo situations. They are I would argue, the second best PvE race, but this is open to debate.
As a seni-RP sort of guy, I always trained my race first, get that down completly, then move on from there. But not everyone has the RP bug. -----------

Spec for minmatar then you will have every skill you need trained for the other races except the actual racial skills and those all train up quickly as there only only a few of them.

Why do you feel the need to reroll rather than keep the skills you already have?

I wouldnt worry about it too much, if you stick with the game for long enough that it actually matters you'll eventually start at least one alt account anyway.
Looking at your ship list, I'd take a wild guess and say Caldari is probably your race. You can cross-train that character to Amarr later, its a good mix.
Your alt can then start as Minmatar or Gallente, and cross-train as the other race as well later.
Gives you all four races, and a decent selection of cross-race faction ships.

I wouldn't worry about making the "right" decision to much when it comes to cross training. However there is no reason to reroll a knew main at all. I started as a Caldari pilot back when picking a race gave you a ton of skills for that race and its ships/modules, I've since switched to mostly Minmatar ships as they're way more fun to fly and have a more well rounded fleet. Mini also suited me well as I already had good missile and shield skills, both of which can be used for some of the Mini ships.
What it comes down to is flying what you want to fly. Sure right now the Mini's have the best pre BS ships and Amarr have most of the best BS and above ships but that is likely to change at some point in time. Pick what you enjoy flying and don't worry about having the best ships for everything. Chances are it won't matter as there is always someone who has more sp and more experience than you do. By the time you figure out what you like the most you'll probably have a good chunk of all four races ships anyway.

Do not re-roll!
I honestly believe that there is no such thing as a ruined character in EVE. This is coming from a character that gotten 30 million SP into industry-only skills before completely changing to PvP-only character. All it takes is a bit of patience and time.
With the re-roll you will be spending those months training core/learning skills all over again! Whatever skills you got right now will come in handy in the future and will give you more options no matter what your new direction is.

Aside from the obvious ones (screwed up remap, wasted training time bonus), that is actually one instance I would consider rerolling - or rather, rolling a new character. If most of your SP are really in industry, you won't have that much of an overlap, and after going over the learning skills, you will be able to run industry jobs in peace, while PvPing with the other character on the other side of the galaxy. ___________

I remember two years or so back (maby more. . .not sure) when in my pirate corp in syndicate it was me and one other guy who flew minmatard (as we were called), a few dps gankadon types (iot as after the stacking nurf but they still inspired fear), a few ECM caldari (or cerbs, but those were 200+ mil then, way too expensive), and everyone else was in gallente.
My friend and I had a hard time ven finding mods, and would take trns going to jita or rens to buy our minmatar mods because there was simply no market for them - no ammo, no guns, no ships.
Times have changed indeed! -----------

If you're going to reroll your toon you should wait until the next expansion to go with a tauren paladin.
